But make we talk true, Fulham can't beat some teams in the segunda division..
fulham has a certain Mitrovic, he is a little hot headed, but a quality striker... i remember him at newcastle that year.... is the playoffs to the epl not the most biggest purse in football? even bigger than clasicco

That is what I don't understand. Why upgrade the EPL performance and down grade La Liga.

We have seen a team like Real Betis give Barcelona a run for their money. The La Liga teams also have good performances.

Liverpool that was walking all over the EPL could hardly get a shot on goal against a compact Atletico Madrid. That is the kind of team La Liga teams deal with.

The same Liverpool beat Barca last season.

If I remember well, Barca won the la liga at that time...

Barcelona have lost games in La Liga too but their dominance and consistency is not up for debate. The strength of Real Madrid and Barcelona is not a testament of a weakness of the La Liga but a testament of their strength. They have also dominated in Europe too.

I are deviating from the argument...

I never said Barca and Madrid aren't strong..

I'm saying that the level of competition in the premier league is higher than in the laliga.. Both in terms of finance and performance..

Barca have lost in laliga, big deal.. how many times have they lost to teams outside the top 10 in a season ?
Can Barca lost twice to Alaves or Eibar like City did against Norwich?

Talk about finance, how many la liga clubs can't spend £100m in a single transfer market aside Barca,Madrid and Atletico?

They are dominating Europe yes, but they are far ahead of other laliga teams in terms of anything you can think of... The same isn't the case with the premier league..
That's my point !

My point is that the gap is not as believed by many.

City is currently not as strong as Barca have been over the years. Over the years, Norwich will not beat Barcelona home and away as they did to City.

Barcelona is on another level. Manchester City is even just coming into dominance. Barcelona has been on a meteoric level.

Playing against Barcelona and Real Madrid regularly does not mean they are weaker than the English sides as believed but they are just playing very tough opposition.

The gap is very wide please..
How many times have Barca and Madrid have problem with winning the league?

I can't even remember the last time the laliga was won on the last matchday..

And talking about Barca dominance, in case you haven't noticed, it is declining..

They are now spending money anyhow on all sort of players..
They better get Guardiola back..

one day i discovered something about laliga, barca vs some club like that sha(u knw they have funny names) footage inside the dogout and you can see the goal keeper of the opposing team looking at messi and already looking so sick grin grin in his mind i guess he be like " 'oh God, which kain wahala be dis ehn?,this guy go score like 4 now...even before match start, him mind don concede like 4 goals... na league be dat? abeg
All EPL teams that have. come against Barca have feared Messi raping them...so, you were saying?

Lemme tell you "non-funny" names that research can show they shat their pants seeing Messi; Van Der Sar, Petr Cech, Joe Hart, Thibaut Cortois, recently Allison.

If we conduct good diagnosis, we'd see traces of human waste on their inner wears on the days they faced Messi

The gulf of class of Barca & Real is not just wider than clubs in La liga but most of Europe. If you remove the money in EPL there'd be that same gap between teams like in the 20th century when Liverpool and Man Utd were all England could boast of

In last 5 UCL Finals, 3 Spanish teams have been in it; including Barca and Atletico.
In all these times how many times has "untraditional" EPL big teams been there? Once!

This is not a defence of Barcelona or Real Madrid but to highlight that their quality does not mean the league is weak. If those teams were in the EPL in the last 20 years, they would have dominated massively.

Finito.

Digressing a bit from our Naija Lads...

Manchester City take on Chelsea at the Bridge in less than 3 hours from now.
Should Man City fail to beat Chelsea, then Liverpool will be confirmed Champs of England. Worse is Man City will serve as Liverpool's guard of honor in their next game.

But A Man City win today delays the inevitable and won't see them being Liverpool's honor guard.

Overall, in the end... Liverpool will make it Number 19 league win in the year of Covid-19.
