These crosses and headers can be useful in crucial moments..

Imagine if Mahrez had Etebo's free kicks abilities... He most likely wouldn't have scored that goal against us at the AFCON grin ..

Nigerian players, and indeed a lot of African players need to work more on the technical aspects of their games..
Mahrez had Etebo.... That part i no get am.

Two exciting Naija midfield talents of foreign links to keep eyes on:

- Simon Sohm, 19 (FC Zurich): Eligible for Switzerland and Nigeria.

- Michael Akpovie Olise, 18 (Reading): Eligible for France, England and Nigeria.

Digressing a bit from our Naija Lads...

Manchester City take on Chelsea at the Bridge in less than 3 hours from now.
Should Man City fail to beat Chelsea, then Liverpool will be confirmed Champs of England. Worse is Man City will serve as Liverpool's guard of honor in their next game.

But A Man City win today delays the inevitable and won't see them being Liverpool's honor guard.

Overall, in the end... Liverpool will make it Number 19 league win in the year of Covid-19.

Philosopher1979:

Komekn you are right. English football is progressing and they may win the world cup in the next 15 year. I did my personal research and saw that they are not playing kick and follow all the time. Their academies now encourage creativity. I will mention 2 points.

1. English premier league has money and so they can even buy ideas and knowledge. They imported technical tiki taka football with Guardiola, Gen gen pressing with Jurgen Klopp, Italian defensive football with Maurinho even sarri ball with Sarri while at chelsea. The problem is the cosmopolitan nature of the premier league and their ability to imbibe new ideas has made English football and the premier league more powerful. Indeed it is more powerful than maybe even 10 years ago.

2. By blending the natural pace and power of an English footballer with the technical and tactical efficiency of the italians, spanish etc, they are creating a new breed of English footballers. the 3 qualities of a player are technique and skill, tactical awarness (what is called decision making) and physical ability (eg speed, strength, stamina etc). The issue is English footballers are trying to create players who have all 3 at the same time. This is highly commendable.

3. However, you worship English football too much. They got all these improvements from foreign coaches and players BUT at least they have adopted it and maybe they are improving on it.

The gulf of class of Barca & Real is not just wider than clubs in La liga but most of Europe. If you remove the money in EPL there'd be that same gap between teams like in the 20th century when Liverpool and Man Utd were all England could boast of

Laslas, Money is power

Is that not the point we are trying to establish? grin

Money is power!

Victor Osimhen is having trouble coming back to Lille!

While Victor Osimhen is expected to return to Lille soon to start the recovery with the losc, striker Lille is having trouble getting a flight to return to France.

Indeed, as in the way, Victor Osimhen must get permission from the competent authorities in order to leave the country since the air space is still closed due to the of-19. pandemic. However, according to a source close to the player at The Eagles Online, authorities haven't given their approval until last night.

Thus, the player's entourage and the losc have once again requested the Nigerian Aviation Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get an authorization quickly. The losc stands close to sending a private jet not to waste time and avoid the Nigerian international coming back to Lille with too much delay since it is expected at Domaine de Luchin "around June 24 or 25" according to Christophe Galtier. # Jordi

I cannot can cheesy

Fulham total market value 105.6mil

Segunda division comprised of 22 teams total market value 379.65mil

That's the market value.

I was making reference to the total transfer expenditure made at the end of the season 2019 into the Segunda compared to the transfer expenditure made in the Championship.

But make we talk true, Fulham can't beat some teams in the segunda division..

Tell me which team will beat them and then on paper compare man to man player to player.

And make an objective observation of what would most likely be the outcome not a sentiment based one.

I can't point to any SE defender right now that can do what Sergio Ramos did days ago.

The midfielders....? I don't wana reason that angle.

I heard Ramos watched clips of CR7 fks to just mimic the style(if you know Ramos and his clownish acts, you'd understand)
And that was just.....

Don't these guys have the thought that this stuff is about practice rather than luck?

For the first time in the history of English football the FA began to take youth competition serous.

Second thing that happened the fusion of outstanding Athletic ability, blistering pace with technicality means DOMINANCE.

And those players are not blue eyed they are predominantly BLACK. I was watching a U18 team of Chelsea play Liverpool.

The Chelsea team was all black just one oyibo and that was the goalkeeper.

I once took one of my friends to a U14 youth session in a top EPL club he was shocked at the level of technical coaching.

The EPL is an international league English players are not in the majority. Every nation on this planet can relate to the EPL. Because you will have some representation of your nationals in it.

I have a lot of involvement with English football on every level. And so l talk more about what l know. Not just from a fans perspective. So it's not worship but experiential KNOWLEDGE.

I remember not too ling ago people were dismissing Adama Traore as being not good enough. If l am really right Chukwueze was considered better than him.l said he is improving and he will become a top top player.

Well I am watching Adama Traore single handedly destroy a whole team by himself. Dude is now unplayable a total destroyer.

Let's be absolutely honest that's a slight on Ramos to make that comparison they arenot on the same level. . All our CB 's are at the very best average not much more.

Meanwhile l am about to watch Chelsea play against City. It's going to be very tough.

I cannot even predict it can go anyway.

But looking at team selection l can see Chelsea winning this.

I know TheGoodJoe will not AGREE.
