this will also serve as lesson to all.
I had this problem with my car. Whenever I start it on a cold morning and drive off, the check engine light pops up in about 2 to 5min. I scanned it and an error code was gotten. I can't remember the code now, but the interpretation was "coolant temperature below threshold"
The fan is still intact as it comes on only when engine is hot. So I figured the thermostat has been yanked off.
After reading through boss Gazzuzz posts and his recurrent emphasis on the importance of the thermostat, I was motivated enough to go put it back. This is where the challenge started.
First I told my kazeem what I want to do. The dude was like "oga are you okay?"
I went to my parts dealer and requested for thermostat and my dealer was like "are you okay?" He actually refused to give me one saying "I won't let you do that to yourself". After much pressure from me, he gave me one for free because it's a "useless" item.
I tested it in hot water to be sure it opens and closes as supposed. Then I went back to my kazeem and told him to put it in. He still tried to discourage me, but I told him if he doesn't do it, I will find someone that will. He reluctantly agreed, but after putting it, he "promised" me my car will overheat and that I will still come back within a week to beg him to remove it.
Well, this is almost a month now, engine has never overheated and the check engine light has never appeared.

Lessons:
1. You can be more educated and informed than your mechanic and parts dealer.
2. Never take the advice of an ignorant person.
3. If everyone is doing it, it doesn't mean it's right. And if no one is doing it, it doesn't mean it's wrong.

My CRV 08 instrument display panel started going haywire last week. Took it to a rewire but the guy said he doesn't understand what is wrong. He checked all the fuse (supposedly) and said they are all fine. Now i can read my fuel guage, engine temp etc. Pix attached. Please come to my aid.

Good morning Engr Gazzuzz. My gear lever disengages into neutral at gear 3 and 4.... most times, I have to support it with my hand so that it wont disengage. Pls what could be the issue......it's a manual transmission (Yaris)

Those gears are damaged. It can be rebuilt or replaced. I have a feeling the transmission is inexpensive, consider replacing

Next time knock the starter motor a bit, car would start. Currently carbon brushes are worn out. Safer to replace if done well will last longer than a used one with unknown brush levels.

When I got to Auchi, I bought fuel at the NNPC Mega Station, I must admit that after buying fuel, I wanted to start the car when I noticed the gear lever was on drive position. I moved it to park but when I turned the ignition, it refused to start. From that Saturday to Tuesday, 23rd June 2020 several mechanics from Benin came to check the car and their conclusion was for me to replace camshaft sensors and ECU. Scan results showed the following codes: P0447, P1564, P1615, P0340 and P0345. I have bought over 10 camshaft sensors and three ECUs(brain boxes) but the vehicle cranks and has still refused to start. See pics please.
Please what do I do. Thanks.

Boss Gazzuzz, concerning starter motor, my 2006 accord v6 does not crank some times when I turn the ignition. I just hear a small click sound from the engine. I have to return the key and turn it again. Some times it starts on the first attempt or up to the 5th attempt. Battery is in good condition.
The starter was "serviced" by a rewire but nothing was replaced. The problem has continued.
Can this be fixed by replacing brush?
