Really, so the owner can't order a close down to honor her husband for just a day? It is funny people always try to compare Nigeria and America or Europe in every issue. Closing down a business is a personal thing. If she can not close down her business then she has no moral right to criticize anyone for not leaving their personal issues to see her and her family. Correcto:Apart from you, who is talking about America here? There are poor businessmen in every country who mix personal issues with the business. They usually don't last long as they are displaced by more serious firms. I agree and competent business people don't mix personal issues with their business because they are separate. This is not a case of morality and no one is asking anybody to leave their personal issues to see her. The government refused to acknowledge that the former governor is sick while he was alive. This isn't a personal favor or morality issue. Ordinarily, Makinde owes them nothing. |

The owner of Roban doesn't open on Sundays, yet he has a very successful business in the South East, beat of my knowledge. All you said makes no sense. Success of business is quite complex, depends on many factors. Xisnin: |

nnaemekanwachuk:It didn't. Federal lockdown excuse essential services. Moreover, Oyo never had proper lockdown. Even if it closed down during lockdown which never happened, that is irrelevant as a business forced to close down by an external force such as the government is not the same as one whose owner made an amateur decision to stop running it out of sentiment. |

Maliqcious:That is not true for many people. And for those people, their business will not work without them, But for Florence, she runs a business, that is why her presence is not needed for it to run Hahaha I will consider transferring most of my deposit out of the bank if that happens as it sends a wrong message of unprofessionalism. Who knows what other personal issues are influencing their decisions? I expect a formal business to be run by business-minded people, not sentimental ones. 1 Like |

Correcto:Good for him. But you are just an outside observer and knows nothing about Roban's ROI and its business policies. I am not surprised you don't get it. People who have never run a real business are often surprised at the personal sacrifice and impersonal decisions that owners make towards their business success. |

This is like telling the wife of the owner of ShopRite to close it down when the husband dies. Ignorance. I even thought the shop they were talking about was a small shop she goes to sell stuff everyday. It seems people don't know how big Grandex is in Ibadan. |

Exmilitant: Don't mind the idiot, that's a small stall and not chains also I don't think a day is too small for her to close the mall and yet she accused her GSM of not paying condolence when she herself cannot simply respect the dead. Has a Muslim it is wrong to speak badly of the dead but she should get her her straight her husband wasn't a saint and if his antecedent has the governor of Oyo should be taken into perspective his corpse should be dispose in the drainage. 2 Likes |

Re: Florence Ajimobi Can't Close Her Store For A Day To Honor Husband- Akin Abubakri by Xisnin(m): 9:53pm On Jun 30, 2020 |
jice:Nations don't honor presidents, the government does. Any business not affiliated with the government is free to operate at any time it likes. This is irrelevant, but just so you know, she wasn't picked up from poverty as her family was established. Even if he funded the business 100%, that is no reason for it to be shut down. |
