Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has said it is working with other geopolitical zones for realisation of the Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in 2023. National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, Uche Achi-Okpaga, said this in an interview with The PUNCH on Wednesday.

Speaking about desire of Ndi’igbo for a President of Igbo extraction by 2023, he said, “The presidency of Nigeria, no doubt, is not what a particular tribe or geopolitical zone can aspire to get without reaching out to other zones.”

Achi-Okpaga further said, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide under the leadership of Chief Nnia Nwodo has been able to bridge the supposed gap between the South-East and other geopolitical zones. Since 2017 when the present NEC was inaugurated, we have reached out appreciably.

“Today, Ohanaeze, Afenifere, PANDEF and Middle Belt Forum speak with one voice on all contemporary and emerging national issues. In many fora, Ohanaeze has demonstrated her capacity to galvanise these other bodies representing their respective geopolitical zones to reach a consensus.”

Anyway it's not about reaching out to group's those groups rarely ever speak for the people they purport to represent what does the average Gboko man think of an Igbo man that's what matters not what Pandef or middle belt forum as an organisation thinks don't be decieved those organisations cannot give you more than the votes of their executives.

Work on your perception around Nigeria do people see you as cunning or crafty over loyalty, do they see you as selfless or selfish? Etc work on those little things as a group.

Then allow the best individual not the oldest not the richest not the most politically exposed not the noisiest let that person come and people should support him, collect money from the old political yahoo daddies and vote wisely.

It's quite unfortunate they are beginning to realize this. Instead of them to be building bridges, they keep burning it down and hating on everyone that disagree with them.

Now they suddenly realize 2023 is around the corner and they started begging. I expected them to be laying claim to it as usual as if its their birthright.

Tinubu the man they love to hate began this process before 2015, strategizing on how to achieve it but they were busy trying to pull him down while he doesn't their side.

My advice.... Work for the presidency and not begging.

They cant do it ALONE, but they can surely do it WITHOUT YOU. Ouch.

Please, Ohanaeze, tell your people to vote whosoever they want, NOBODY CARES!!

But when it comes to making demands on the presidential ticket for 2023, do make sure you keep your appetite squarely on Wadata Plaza.
