no it's not colorism...it's having a preference...colorism is "discrimination" due to skin color,but in this case,you just "prefer" either light or dark skin...it's quite different

just the way women might prefer taller men to shorter men...do we have a name for that colorism is basically steorotype based on darkness of skin tone...feeling people who are light skinned are more intelligent or more attractive,as such using it as a criteria to give them movie roles,and modelling gigs over darker people,this one is institutional...but in a situation where you just "Prefer" light skin over dark skin...it's not colorism...ok is it colorism if a woman prefer dark skin to light skin...I've heard some girls say they don't like dating fair people,some girls prefer chubby men...it's preference..and there's such a thing with skin tone too
