Doctors employed by the Lagos State Government will on Monday begin a three-day warning strike, The PUNCH has learnt.

The Chairman of the Medical Guild, Lagos, Dr Oluwajimi Sodipo, at a briefing on Sunday, said the doctors were embarking on the strike after the ultimatum given to the Lagos State Government had expired.

He said, “Following the emergency congress of the Medical Guild held on June 27, we resolved that the previous 21 days ultimatum given to the state government be extended by a further two weeks during which representative council meeting should be held to review the resolutions of the congress and activate the three-day warning strike if 70 per cent of the Guild’s demands are not met.”

Sodipo said the demands of the Guild include the wage disparity between the federal and Lagos doctors.

“The issues of COVID-19 hazard allowance and inducement allowances MOU approved by the federal government to her doctors have not been approved by the Lagos State Government to her doctors.

“The doctors working in the COVID-19 isolation centres are still being owed two months’ salaries which have remained unpaid at the moment. They are also being unceremoniously disengaged without recourse to their welfare.

“The issue of shortage of doctors in the health facilities are yet to be resolved and with no substantive action taken by the state government t resolve the issue,” Sodipo said.

Why exactly are Nigerian leaders and politicians so evil? Are their heart made of stone or what? In the coronavirus epicenter in your country, you do not want to pay your doctors? shocked Make dem fear God small naaa.

The worst part is that if these doctors decide to go on strike, they won't suffer it, it is the poor masses that would bear the brunt.

This Covid-19 seems more like an Inferno. Invented by some secret organization to tackle World population. How come information regarding its place of origin seems completely enshrouded in mystery.

I mean this is a Virus that has and probably will continue ravaging humanity for months/years.
Still yet, no one knows a damn thing about it's true origins. Nothing!

One can't just name China here, coz I can bet right now, that China might have very less cases on them and probably has gone back to normal life unlike some other parts of the World. But that is where we say this s**t came from right?? What was their magic??

Mtcheew!
Truth is, the beans is still not spilled yet on the true origin of this devilish disease. And this is being masked coz there's a secret and very evil agenda to that cause.

We just keep on wearing masks and counting corpses and infection cases like numbers. So Pathetic!

Anyways this is just #Myopinion

Greedy NCDC officials keep gobbling down billions of relief funds in their pot bellies but pay no mind to the hired doctors who put their lives at risk to curb this Chinese virus.

Their allowance has been looted by the bullion van thief, so theres no money to pay them.

Just imagine all the funds at LASG disposal, yet they find it very difficult to duly compensate our Frontline workers who put their lives at risk this challenging moment.

Please tell the bullion van thief that LASG coffers can't breath. He is kneeling on the neck of LASG coffers.
