Good evening my Sabi mummy in the house. A doctor prescribed clomid 25mg for me(i have to cut in half) to be taken for 20 days. I’ve never seen this kind of prescription anywhere, please do you think this will be harmful in anyway I already took 100mg clomid for 5days, I’m supposed to continue with 25mg for 20 days My hormonal analysis shows low progesterone that’s why he prescribed the drug |
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Meeenah(f): 4:59am On Jul 14, 2020 |
You can clarify from your doctor or seek a second opinon. clomid is used to trick the body into thinking that estogen is low thereby producing more of progesterone. I have never heard of it been used to increase progesterone. What my gynea do is to combine clomid and bromoscriptine in such a way as to achieve ovulation and produce enough progesterone.it is bromoscriptine that he would ask you to cut into 2 and stagger it in such away as to achieve the desired hormone level. Please ask him again. Let him explain to you your course of treatment. You have a right to know. Teebim: |

Babygal2020:. Thank You, I have done pelvic scan at two different labs and HSG result will pick up HSG result tomorrow. Pelvic Scan result says there are three fibroids. Posterior wall (intramural) , Fundal region (Subserous), and upper anterior (subserous). Endometrium is displaced by the fibroid. Does this mean I have to fo for surgery before getting pregnant? Hubby' SFA results test will be done this week. |

horlla:Unfortunately, the fibroids might be the cause of the clots in your menstrual flow and usually when it’s already giving you problems it can also hinder conception. Talk to your doctor but you might need to remove it...although unless you’re above 35yrs, a doctor will not really do anything about infertility unless you’ve been actively trying to conceive for 1year |

Good day fellow fruitful dads and mums I just opened this moniker for this purpose. I had painstakingly chronicled my experience as a GTC for over 5yrs now but got lost when I was just about ending it. It was very detailed and i take it that God didn't want me to post everything. Going forward, my wife and I had been TTC since she lost her preggo in 2015 immediately after our wedding. She had ectopic and was removed by surgery. A fallopian tube was damaged in the process. Anytime we had BD, she would feel pregnant but would be lost, following a series of nightmares, including sex in the dream. We were told sometimes ago that she has ''egbé' and/or spiritual hubby and we have done all we were expected to do but Pastors and prophets kept seeing it. They insisted that she needed to do it again as they are usually very stubborn. We were supposed to do another before the lockdown came. She was diagnosed of fibroid and cysts in the hospital but believe me, they are manipulations from the pit of hell. Don't get me wrong, this is not to say that there are no 'genuine' fibroid, cyst, etc. We were billed to do a surgery of over 300k in Lagos. We had done almost everything on this thread, including womb massage, baking soda combo, vinegar, clomid, etc. We have spent much more than 10m--cummulatively and have suffered in the hands on Prophets, Pastors, Herb sellers, Doctors, etc. It was just recently I discovered I could be the cause of the unfruitfulness. Unknown to most prophets, I was apparently having a spiritual wife. I had sex in the dream almost every week, especially when we are hopeful of preggy. But since it never affected my promotion at work, I thought it had no effect on us. Apparently the spiritual wife had been responsible for the ectopic and by extension the long wait. I'm happy to say that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel--finally. For the first time in 5yrs+, I haven't seen my wife's period for 2 consecutive months. It's a great feeling! Although I understand the pressure that comes with infertility and the need to try all the recommendations on this thread. Some self medications and prescriptions could alter the normal flora, alter the acidity and other factors responsible for pregnancy. To everyone expecting baby dust, let's be more conscious of ourselves and our dreams. The spiritual controls the physical. Our challenges are different. Yours could just be 'didi eru egbe', although it may look foolish. Not all of us have access to Baba Adeboye and any of the 'great' men of God in our country. Yours could just be a word of prayer or just faith anyway. Trust me a good number of women these days have spiritual husbands and/or egbe. What I found not quite funny was to hear that I had spiritual wife. Wetin person no go hear in this journey of TTC? May God help us all. It is not easy. 10 Likes |

Dunnysey:Good morning. Consistency should not be watery Morphology is good 90% Mortility is very poor 20% Count is good 94Million Staphylococcus infection He’d need to boost his mortility......people who have used fertililaid mortility boost say it’s very effective 1 Like |
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Dunnysey(f): 10:25am On Jul 16, 2020 |
Thanks for your response. We will see how to get fertilaid motility boost and hopefully we can cope with the cost. Can it also work to improve the consistency ? sugah: |
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by sugah: 10:49am On Jul 16, 2020 |
Dunnysey:The consistency might be as a result of the infection and lifestyle changes can also change it. Fertililaid products are unfortunately not very pocket friendly...maybe others with testimony of other products will share what they used. Baby dust 1 Like |

Eagleseye1:The morphology/shape is good/normal Active motility is very poor(1%) ..... normal should be at least 50% Sperm count is very low (200,000)...... normal should be at least 20 million Do you drink or smoke? Pls you need to stop Are you overweight? pls work on your weight Take more fruits and veggies Others can help you with the name of male fertility boosters that are effective. |
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by rvpbae: 11:12pm On Jul 16, 2020 |
Eagleseye1: Hmmm, are you sure about this result You might want to redo the test elsewhere. How many days if abstinence? It says no infection seen, guess that's why the morphology is great but the count is just 200,000 and 99% of that is dead. Theres basically no active sperm cell. If this result is accurate, then you need to work on count and motility. You can search the thread for some drugs people used and have given testimonies. Cc sugah 1 Like |

Eagleseye1:As my other ladies have stated, your result is very poor...classified as severe oligospermia + mortility issues. But there’s hope and you’d need to work with a good doctor and put in the effort to achieve that. Some of the possible causes of your condition include: Varicocele (enlarged veins in the scrotum), bad lifestyle (alcohol and drug abuse), overheating the testicles (wearing tight trousers, putting laptops on your laps) exposure to harmful chemicals, weight issues or hormonal Issues. In addition to the lifestyle changes mentioned already, treatment options (apart from varicocele that requires surgery) includes: manix + Vitamin E (pocket friendly option) Or fertilaid for men + count boost + mortility boost (Not very pocket friendly) or Clomifene (if the issue is hormonal but your doctor will have to prescribe this one)....the drugs will be taken for not less than 90days before you begin to see a difference.. 2 Likes |

Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Eagleseye1: 5:31am On Jul 17, 2020 |
rvpbae:Thanks for your reply. 3 days of abstinence. This is the 3rd result I'll be getting. The previous 2 returned zeroes due to staph infection. I had to treat it before doing another test this week. |
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Meeenah(f): 6:23am On Jul 17, 2020 |
Usually you need at least two SFA results before one can conclude there is a problem . That been wil sdvise you repeat the test in a month or two time. Before then you can start some form of supplement. Vit C Vit E zinc and selenium has been shown to improve sperm health. Vit C should beabout 2000iu per day. You can also try oligocare. Its not too expensive, to be taken 2ce a day. A month course should not cost you more than six thousand naira. Then carry out lifestyle modification. Control your diet, exercise regularly. Avoid excessive heat especially down there. Wear lose undies . Practice scrotum cooling. Check your hormonal levels especially insulin. Treat infection and avoid reinfection. Cut out sugar and alchohol complelely from your diet. You can practise all these for like a month or two and then do a repeat test. If after all these there is no significant improvement. Please see your doctor If you like you can consult rhe peoples doctor on IG. Disclaimer: Note that I am no doctor but have been in this for such a long time and somehow acquired a wealth of knowledge. Eagleseye1: |

sugah:Thanks for the detailed analysis. I was referred to a urologist by a gynecologist. After examination and hormonal profile test, the urologist prescribe addyzoa, manix and enhanz for 3months. The sfa result after the 90days came out zeroes due to massive staph infection, the second one same thing. This is the 3rd result after the mediation. However, when I was to get the last dose of the medication, the pharmacist told me that 2 of the drugs do the same thing and I shouldn't have been taking them together, but after telling him it was prescribed by a doctor he said OK. |
