Pls can anyone who has gone through legalization and pre-enrollment process this year answer my question.

Pls can you advise me on the following?
1. Did you do legalization at the embassy before proceeding to online pre-enrollment?

2. Can i book appointment for legalization at the embassy while waiting for legalization at MOFA and translated documents to be ready?

3. When you were filling your pre-enrollment form, on universitaly what option of “Qualifications and Language Certificates”, there are lots of options and I didn’t know which option to choose.

4. Is it wise to submit online pre-enrollment without first doing legalization?

5. Is Form A still needed for pre-enrollment since its done online? And how can i get it

Dencotext:
Well yes I spoke with Krysten for close to one hour via whatsapp.

If you are sponsoring yourself, in a way, it is even better than if you are doing business because of the difficulties authenticating people who are using business as their means of sponsorship..

However their is perhaps 3 ways to justify finances, although the boundaries are not fixed because it is possible that you could fit into two or all the 3 categories simultaneously. But it is important you know why each category is important... I will list them the way you may less likely be denied visa.

A). You have a JOB {Full time employment) . Under this category, which many people look down on, you are even more likely to get the visa. If you study the requirement for Schengen visa for study in general, you will discover every country in Europe have slightly different requirements. Germany in particular require a huge amount deposited in your account, while Italy and Spain, which have close borders to Africa, have some more flexible African tendencies. They use the word PROOF OF SUSTENANCE, which is not necessarily a proof of CASH ON GROUND. If you don't have all the cash on ground, your job could be a guarantee that you are still employed, and you won't be a liability when you get there, and some salary allowance or study allowance money will still be coming to you, even if it is not expressively stated, you can borrow salary advance if need be. And that is why fulltime staff must take study leave or leave in general or some form of permission to show embassy that you may still be employed to that job, while schooling, but if you can't produce that, it will not be a good idea to tell embassy that you are resigning for your job, it will be better to keep quiet about that.... unless you really have option B and/or C as alternative.

B) You have a contract Job (Parttime employment) . Your employment letter will indicate whether you are working fulltime and entitled to things like leave, or whether you are working on contract basis, like per hour basis, and not entitled to leave and so on but a fixed negotiated money. I got my visa based under this category as I was working online. I had less than 1 million in my account, approximately E2000, but was able to demonstrate with my employment contract letter, salary account and payslip of 6 months, how much I was earning, that the job was online and when I get to Italy I will still continue to do my contract job online.

C) You are doing business.... only God knows there are perhaps many things people do to earn money business wise, but it is difficult if you do not have official documents to justify what kind of business you do. And again, if your account is suspected of being inflated unnecessarily (being assisted by a thirdparty deposit to inflate your account), you could be denied visa. Your account statement will show the names of people who deposited money into your account... but if organizations deposited money into your account is a better proof of doing business. But you could be a landlord or whatsoever, so a proof of business seemed easiest but also complicated in some ways.

So in conclusion, I advised Krysten, that I always advise anyone who is doing business but also have job, to include the account statement and letter of employment and payslips for the job and along with that of the business, because in nutshell OYIBO people will believe you more if you have a job. You would look like a very responsible fella... infact integrity is what they are looking for and the ability to authenticate what you do, that you are geniune... than all the cash you have in your account. If you know you have a business, they will take note of that better, if you also show them the job you are doing which gives them a clear picture how you obtain your finances to be a business man, it is even better. Because again experience counts.

Thanks for this response.
Pls Can I have a chat with you via WhatsApp.
I need clarification regarding my financial situation. Zero 7 zero three three six five four 9 five 2. that's my digit.

During the pre enrollment filling, I was told to upload proof of English language proficiency certification . As a Nigerian whose language of instruction is in English language . I don't need to provide any English language certification. How do I go about this?

English as a medium of instruction, get it from your university.

Ask your university (Italy) if you're to upload it.
University of Padua did not require us to upload anything at all, they said so during a webinar we had with them.
We just uploaded passport photograph and passport and submitted. That's all

If you have your IELTS or TOEFL result, you can upload it. If not, just submit. All submissions are still redirected from universitaly to your school.

If your school needs it, they may still ask you to provide it. I think it depends if its part of your schools requirement.

We're still saying the same thing I have submitted through universitaly over 2 weeks ago my friends and I didn't upload English test, even though we have it but they said we should not bother...
All I'm trying to say is find out from your school if it's a compulsory field if not you should be able to submit .without it since you were given admission already.

I sent them a mail last week Tuesday for enquiry of legalization fee and another mail today being Monday 20th for appointment.

This morning, they responded to the one of last week and I haven’t gotten a response for the appointment.

I went there for legalization of my birth certificate last week Tuesday(by appointment) and will be going back to collect my documents sometime this week(without appointment). They at first refused to give me an appointment, but I replied with a mail stating that I had my marriage certificate submitted for registration and legalization since March and I need to collect it back. That was when I got an appointment.

So I think they are tending to vv important cases they had on their hands before COVID19

Hello guys,

I'll like to why the italy VFS appointment portal is unavailable from July-September.

Is it unavailable because of COVID19 or is it because appointment dates on these months are full?

Sebi Italy VFS was suppose to be opened since July 1st.

Their response to my appointment mail

Dear Sir/Madam,

Due to present situation relating to the Pandemic (COVID-19), all appointments are suspended.

This office is presently unable to give a response as the time table for the 2020/21 academic session is yet to be released by MUIR (the authorized office).

K. The problem is that they find it difficult to respond to mails I have sent to them and they wouldn't pick calls

Dear Sir/Madam,

The fees vary from document to document and the use for which it is being requested.

They vary from N4000 to N 25,000 per document.

The actual price can only be given on presentation of your documents.

Regards,

Operator 01

Consular Office

Lagos

If you read this thread backwards from 2019, someone said legalization of academic documents are free but he paid 11,600 for NPC attestation. I still don’t know if it will be free this year for academic documents and 11,600 for NPC attestation.

Like they said, it’s dependent on document and it’s use, they didn’t really specify price for each document.

During my pre-enrollment on Universitaly, i choose Abuja embassy for where I’d like to apply for my visa (my reason is because Vfs handles visa and I know my way around Abuja and have friends I can sleep over in their house).

I received a mail few days after submission saying my pre-enrollment has been forwarded to Abuja Embassy and It seems my DOV will be gotten there.

For legalization, my state falls under Lagos Embassy. I hope this isn’t a problem?
