warping can come from the frame or the door

those warping door are constructed with wet wood, as the wood dries up with time, its state will not be uniform again.hence the reason for draging. it's mostly unavoidable
with panel door because the wood market is saturated with wet or partially dry wood.

solution.

either you framed your door with imported board or you insist on the use of PINE (parking case) for the carcass of the door.

for rentable flat, I will advice you use skin door framed with Pine wood (treated imported parking case) for the door.

Hello everyone, I need expert opinions on interior doors. In my present apartment, I can no longer lock most of the wooden doors because of warping. I have to drag some of them against the floor before I can fully open them.
I’ll be needing interior doors soon. How best can one select doors that would not later warp?
I need experience building engineers, home owners and experienced building enthusiasts to please guide me and suggest types of doors to go for and any idea about their prices will be very appreciated.

Some of the doors are to be used in some apartments that I am going to rent out to lower middle class so, going for some luxury doors is out of it.

Thanks for your inputs when I made the quoted enquiries. I didnt do the German floor as suggested but I ensured that the hollows in the first three courses' (foundation) blocks where filled with concrete after which polythene material laid and subsequently the block work. However, I am doing the chain lintel using 12mm rods.

If your top soil is sharp sand no need to do excavating put your raft on the top soil direct to the level above the road.

Flat roof (low pitch roof) is much more affordable. You would save a lot of cash from wood and the roofing sheet. It is also very durable, just like any roof type the is properly done. You can enhance the beauty by using fibercement fascia and soffit. My project is at roof level, and that's the option am going for.

Always avoid pariing the toilet/bath wall with living room, dining, or other space when it can be avoided. Except it's absolutely unavoidable.

Instead of making the master's bedroom toilet/bath share a wall with the kitchen, why not position it towards the first tight rooms' toilet/bath? That way your two toilet/bath will share the same wall.

please, does anybody know much about the condominium business in Nigeria? Do you think that building a block of three bedroom flats and selling each flat for fifteen million in a location where a plot of land is selling twenty five million would be a viable business model in Nigeria?
