ednut1: I don't totally agree with this. If as a couple you total score currently is 469, what's the score if you change it to un accompanied? If your score remains on 469, then there's no need to change it. |

Rifkiz:no strength to argue. I know what i am talking about. Many spouse dont max the ielts, some dont wanna write at all or rewrite. Some only have bsc and wont also max education points. In most cases spouse reduces points. 2 Likes |

Rifkiz: For non accompanying u get the same point as single, so its better to go unaccompaning if that will bring one to 470+ |

ednut1: Especially when PA is above 32 and the other spouse has let's say Bsc alone. Even with masters once u are above 30-31 , accompanying spouse na wahala 1 Like |

Chrisdada16: Yes, for non accompanying you get more points. But if you decide to add your spouse, 40 points gets deducted. The 40 points is shared between ECA (max 10), IELTS (max speed) and Canadian job experience (max 10 points respectively). For the couple with 469, I'm assuming they both have written IELTS and done their ECA evaluation. They could use the CRS tool to simulate their total score, UN accompanied and accompanied. Most times you get the same score. |

Rifkiz: We've both done IELTS. 7.5 overall band. We've done ECA evaluation. She has an M.Sc, I have B.Eng. |

ocheezie: I'd advise you use to CRS tool to check your wife's total score as unaccompanied. If it's higher compared to when she adds you, then she can apply as non accompanied. If it's the same score, after she has added you, there's no point changing it. |

ocheezie: I read somewhere that it's possible to change to accompanied after ITA on one condition. Your total score has to be above the cut off draw. Single spouse -471 Accompanied-469 Ita cutoff draw-468 Based on this condition it's possible to change to accompanied after ITA, but you would need to add an LOE explaining the change 1 Like 2 Shares |

Please if the wife state that she is single, what is the requirement for the husband to join her and the kids too [qquote author=Rifkiz post=91986172] I'd advise you use to CRS tool to check your wife's total score as unaccompanied. vitrendy4eva: I am trying to study and analyse the CRS distribution 2weeks ago and present. Its really surprising that they want to keep all the 21,661 people in 451-500 till some loose points again to age, IELTS expiry or whatever. Seems like the best thing is for one to just keep adding points in all the ways possible. It will surely end in praise!

There is a key difference between applying as single and applying with an unaccompanying spouse. If someone is married but wants to go alone, they should select non accompanying spouse and NOT single. tombeck: 2 Likes |

Rifkiz: She has 7.5 overall. 8.0 in listening and 7.5 in others. Not really easy for her to re-write cause she works and has 3 kids to nurse. It's best to be hopeful that 469 does it for us 1 Like |

ExpressEntry:they do not care about pool distribution. their only concern is meeting their own yearly quotas. the number of people in the pool is not IRCC's doing. when there were fewer people ITA used to be 430 and 441. |

Would it be a problem if my reference letter is in black and white? My place of work has been very reluctant to give me a reference letter and after much back and forth, I was given an A4 letter head paper in black and white. I don't know if this will be an issue for me |

ExpressEntry: Shey Ednut and I said this 2 weeks ago.. People attacked us. I have followed this EE process for years and know that it's never predictable. If they decide on doing only PNP draws... It can drop to whatever... They don't care. A good example was how people thought scores will drop 2019 last quarter but the opposite was the case. My advice as always is try to up your scores and be ready for anything by entering the pool early. They can even shock people by doing weekly back to back draws sef... These guys ain't predictable. |
