I strongly believe corona vaccine will soon be out and this virus will be history
From my research, I noticed that it takes a couple of years to formulate a vaccine for this kind of diseases. Why? Because age complicates the vaccine formulation/development. A vaccine works in a kid might not work in an old adult since organs in the body weakens as one grows older.

I think the cases is now increasing beyond my expectation hence my call for a total lockdown is now necessary but must not be more the 6weeks.

If at the expiration of the 6weeks there is no improvement then the FG government must shutdown the economy for an aggressive total lockdown.

All schools must remain closed. Inter state ban should be enforced now.

All churches, mosque should be shutdown now.

We must defeat this virus.

In as much as we value these data, the agency should also inform the citizens on what steps they have reached/attained in containing this coronavirus pandemic.
Let me give you a help to do so.
Four things are necessary:
1) Social Distancing (this includes isolation of patients).
2) Massive Testing (this should be done in every corner of activities like in schools, churches, mosques, markets, etc). This is the most effective way to contain the virus. Here is where the government should come in, by providing (say donated/looted funds) fund to assist health workers to be sent (with testing materials for COVID-19) to various schools, markets, etc, to carry out massive testing of individuals (at those mentioned places) atleast once in each week.
Each test must be well recorded to easily identify patients tested in such places, hence such persons immediately taken to isolation centres.
3) Impose a napping/sleeping hour/time in schools, homes, work places, etc. The nap/sleep helps one's respiratory cycle.
4) Individuals should try drinking enough good water and eat nutritious foods (though we hardly get this in this country). It helps to keep immune system balanced.

Implement these, see how the curve flattens rapidly in few days, then thank me later.
Note:
I'm not a Medical Personnel, I'm a Graduate Engineer. I've also taught for years.
I do research more often in various fields. But trust me, NCDC with PTF & ....., do what I listed above. It will surely work out fine.

Addition to this, government can build Isolation Centres where all our outdoor activities (movie/match watching hall, learning hall, sporting hall, worship hall, etc) can also be done in these Isolation Centres.
In that way, no fear for any person asked to be admitted to Isolation Centres.
Though this might cost alot. But to checkmate, the virus has caused more loss than good. The earlier we start early treatment & prevention strategies like I quoted above, the better for everyone.

There is NO need for lockdown since the virus hardly shows easily. One may be carrying the virus without knowing (say for few days); then imagine when there is lockdown? By then, he/she must have transmitted it to people they live with, hence an exponential increase of coronavirus cases.
Lockdown is never "an option".
Lockdown is an option for patients admitted to Isolation Centres only, to avoid further contracting & hence a quicker & precised treatment.

Africa is witnessing a surge even with the limited testing capacity!

SirWarLock, South Africa records 572 deaths in 24hours. Could that be a typo error? What happened? Out of 13,000 new cases?

Hope people know that some of this samples tested are confirmation test or nth test?

When you look at the number of unique tests, it might not be up to 100,000.

Going by what I saw some people say it seems there was a backlog of reported deaths in eastern cape province. Though it's worrying their daily average fatalities seems to be heading towards 200+ sad
