It doesn't matter. You can name it volunteer experience but I would put it under work experience.
Okay. Thanks
Re: My Monthly Savings In Canada by SlowlybtSurely: 7:38pm On Jul 19, 2020
Volunteer experience can count towards work experience on your resume but it won't count for express entry.

For any job experience to be considered for points under express entry, it has to be paid.

Which Province is has the cheapest house rent and still has Job opportunities??
It’s simple na. Opportunities are in Lagos but you live in Ajah where rent is cheap. You work in Abuja and live in Gwagwalada. It’s like that all over the world

Hey Guys, its been a while. I have been off for a while just to concentrate on work. By the way, i have made my Savings target. I actually hit 20k savings on the 15th of July, three and half months from when i started. I withdrew everything as cash and gave wifey to hold, so that i can start saving again. To be honest, this pandemic actually helped, cos there was no place to spend the money.
What kind of economy is that 5.3 m naira less than 4 months and you are not a medical consultant.

What if the Volunteer Job is a paid volunteer. You get paid for 3years for volunteering. take for example Npower that was teaching for three years and paid for those 3years of service..... Any clue to that?

If it's in a relevant NOC and it's paid, then it should count towards express entry points.

bro you don't make comparisons that way. #5.3million naira isn't a big deal when converted to Canadian dollar, the state of the Nigeria economy is making you see the amount as huge Money. #5.3million can buy you a land in Nigeria but that same amount can't do same in Canada. It's quite relative. Don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to explain how the state of the nation is making us see normal things as huge.

He did not say he made or earned that amount. He said he SAVED that amount in 4 months working as a security guard......after taking care of all his living expenses.

How much do you think a security guard can save in 4 months in Nigeria?? That is the difference.

you forgot he has more than one stream of income and he works overtime as well. Well, that's what you get when you're in a functional system, your hard work would reflect in your account unlike Nigeria.

Let me ask a question here:
Is it possible to get a job abroad without an NYSC certificate?
Also, I'm yet to get my degree certificate, how possible is it go work with a statement of result or something equivalent abroad?

Exactly my point. He has more opportunities and potential to be better.

i did have 2 jobs, but i had no overtime on any of them, just regular hours. But like you said, the society one lives in matters a lot. I love Nigeria, but trust me, as a shell contract staff, i put in a lot of work, and transportation alone from island to mainland gulped about 5 extra unpaid hours in my day, and then you go back home to no light, noise from generator, security issues, LASMA, road safety, and SARS. No matter how we look at it, no matter the tax, no matter the bills, the peace of mind in a civilized country outside Nigeria can never be overemphasized.

you will hardly see anyone as all the agent to canada paroles are scams. They will chop your money and leave you hanging. Sadly thousands of Nigerians keep falling for agents.
