I wonder how Iwobi sleeps with this constant dragging on Twitter

Because the boy is talented yet handicapped at the same time. What a paradox

bro i think Nwakali is a good talent who can still come good but I feel you are being too critical of Iwobi. Alex in the Super Eagles bar Mikel has been our best midfielder. How many midfielders in the History of the super eagles except for okocha do you know have scored as much goals as Iwobi.

His club form is due mostly to various coaches not really knowing how to utilize him. once he gets a role he can flourish in then i think we will get to see the best of him

Alex Iwobi , without any doubt, has features of a talented player. Yes, he has scored some nice goals for SE , however , what we need is a creative midfielder who can organize things in the middle and coordinate with Osimhen ,KC , Chukwueze and S. Kalu up front, and Iwobi could not pull that off despite the insane talents he is blessed to work with.
However, this is not because he has no talent but he is not a playmaker which Nwakali is despite his setbacks. This is about abilities rather than form. Why are blacks deficient in critical reasoning ?

The best final third U24 midfielders in Europe top 5 leagues. Only 7 players are above Iwobi in passes into the penalty area per 90min

If you need more proof that Iwobi is underrated

Nwakali that you mentioned is a playmaker from the few club games you have watched here and there how many assists has he provided? how many games have you seen him "organize things in the middle and coordinate"?

Nwakali though talented has a long way to go. If you used a obviously superior player to critique Iwobi i would have no issues. Alex can better no doubt but their is no proof (at least for now) that Nwakali is better

The word "better" is subjective , vague and relative in all sense. I was cautious enough not to use it because I know how you guys can get.

Football is all about results. results are facts not all this subject/object talk you want to introduce.

When Nwakali gets enough game, gets invited again to the national team and starts performing in the GWG then you can start comparing

RANGERS SIGN LEON BALOGUN

RANGERS are today delighted to announce the signing of Nigerian international defender Leon Balogun on a 1 year deal, with Rangers having an option for a further year.

Balogun, 32 arrives in Glasgow with experience both in the Premier League and German Bundesliga, and completed last season with Wigan Athletic.

Although born in Germany, Balogun qualifies for Nigeria through his father, and has 32 caps to his name to date, and played in all three of their matches at the 2018 World Cup.

He can name Werder Bremen and Mainz among the clubs he featured for in Germany, before he switched to Premier League Brighton in 2018.

There, he netted in their derby win over Crystal Palace in December of that year, and then last season, he spent the second half of the campaign turning in impressive performances on-loan at Wigan.

He played a major role as they battled under incredible pressure to try and secure their safety in the Championship following their issues around ownership.

He joins Gers to add further competition in the centre of defence, following the injury to Niko Katic.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard commented: “I am pleased to secure the signature of Leon. He is an experienced centre half who will add strength and depth to our squad.

"His experience in the Premier League as well as his international pedigree strengthens our squad and will assist in the development of our young defenders.

“Leon has just finished a round of competitive fixtures with Wigan so will hit the ground running. He’s a positive and bright character and we are looking forward to his influence around the group”

Sporting Director Ross Wilson added: “We quickly targeted Leon after adapting our transfer plan when Niko Katic suffered an injury a few weeks ago.

"We agreed terms with Leon shortly before going to France enabling Leon to give Wigan his full focus, particularly in the situation they found themselves in.

"Leon impressed Steven and I with his enthusiasm and excitement to join Rangers from the moment we first spoke whilst the staff at Brighton and Wigan couldn’t have spoken any higher about his personality and abilities.”

Let him have it. The Football writers association (FWA) over there are predominantly English anyway. Hendo is ending the season as an EPL winning Captain who also played his part in the triumph and led well so they saw a chance to use that as leverage to pick him.

I await the PFA Players' Player of the season award, PFA Fans' Player of the season award and lastly the EA Sports Premier League player of the season award. Let me see if Henderson will win all remaining three. Coz if he does... It would be very laughable. Mane, Trent and KDB are much stronger candidates. Even Vardy (although I consider him an outsider).

Because Henderson is an English man and the lands feeds its children. I love the English for this because they built the league, hence their country men benefit from it. This is also the reason why I protect and defend the Nigerian homegrown talents ahead of foreigners. And , yes , I am bias in that context.

In my opinion,Iwobi is a very talented player .. But he is too inconsistent..that makes him average..

If he can work on his lack of consistency and poor shooting ability, I think he will be better than he currently is.. Both at club and national level..

Somethings for English football Dey tire me

If I say dem Dey bias against city e go be like say I 2 talk

Even hazard with poor 13 epl goals have won player of the year ,but Aguero with many goals have never won it and even sterling didn’t get it last year

Well make I Dey see sha

I will prefer Arnold or mane get that award from Liverpool than Henderson
