"....The president’s first public reaction to allegations of ethical impropriety against his associates was to defend them. It’s now obvious that the president is interested in fighting corruption if only his political opponents are the accused."..We can see, therefore, that President Buhari’s anti-corruption fervour is merely self-serving. He regards only his political opponents as having the copyright on corruption. By this token, every allegation of corruption leveled against his friends and financiers must be “baseless.....” https://opinion.premiumtimesng.com/2018/10/23/president-buhari-is-not-against-corruption-by-femi-aribisala/[/quote] 26 Likes 3 Shares |

So everyone who works in the regime has got the memo: So long as you can convince Buhari that you are “loyal” to him, you can pilfer the national till to your heart’s delight without the slightest fear of consequence. This is so true given the spate of corruption being unearthed from every nook & crannies under the present government. 56 Likes 1 Share |

helinues:“Firm, undeniable evidentiary proofs of Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai's alleged corruption have been published. So have Lt.Gen.Abdulrahman Dambazzau's and Babachir David Lawal's.Rotimi Amaechi has also been accused of bribing judges & Abba Kyari accused of accepting a N500 million-naira bribe from MTN, among others. “The president’s first public reaction to allegations of ethical impropriety against his associates was to defend them, a privilege he doesn’t extend to others. Despite the President’s public anti-corruption platform, Transparency International has not seen any reduction in corruption since Buhari took office. In fact, the precise opposite has happened, with Nigeria falling 12 places between the 2016-2017 rankings.https://www.thecable.ng/why-you-should-not-invest-in-nigeria-former-uk-secretary-of-state-writes-investors 31 Likes 2 Shares |

Prof is always on point! This administration has shown us more reasons why we need to build strong and solid institutions that will guide our affairs and governance. we need to do away with the current constitution. It's not an instrument that can bring the needed change or cohesion. We need Institutions that will be far above anyone in the country. Institutions that can remove sitting top officials whenever the err. Buhari made his supporters to perceived him in 2015, as an 'institution' who is very capable of solving the multi-faceted problems facing Nigeria. None of them asked how he was going to go about it. They just believed he is 'upright', has 'integrity' and for them, that was enough. Sad that the president never thinks or has forgotten that his first allegiance is to the masses and to the Constitution and not to some loyal associates like the Prof rightly alluded. No wonder he went on a peace keeping mission in another country when his own country is boiling left, right and center. 32 Likes 2 Shares |

What we are seeing now is a far better fight against corruption than the covid 16 years of the Poverty Development Party. This administration has sent 4 ex - governors who are members of APC to prison. Many ex - government officials and the former PDP spokesman are in prison for corruption. I challenge anyone to show me any high profile conviction of any PDP member during its covid 16 years. All the corruption allegations we are seeing in public today wouldn't have been possible during the PDP era, they would have covered up every single one of it. When Odua was indicted of corruption, they rewarded her with Senate ticket. When Sanusi exposed corruption, they sacked him immediately. I agree that corruption is still a big challenge, but compared to the miserable PDP era, Buhari's fight against corruption is like a billion times better!!!! I AM DONE TALKING 8 Likes 4 Shares |

All these trash doesn't add up. This same Corruption was perpetrated during the 16yrs rule of PDP but no noise like this BECAUSE THEY AID and ABET CORRUPTION. "If stone is thrown on roof, the dwellers voice must be heard" The ZERO TOLERANCE of PMB/PYO to Corruption is why we keep hearing about Corruption lately. Had it been under PDP, we all know nothing will be heard. Or Does it mean their tenure is Corruption free? No! They abet Corruption so we couldn't hear noise as this. It's in this administration we know that the two Chambers can probe alleged Corrupt cases other than scaling fence and throwing punches. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Who let the dogs out?! Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof... Lol. As expected, PMB minions have reverted to "PDP stole more than APC" chant. I ask them, was the goal of APC to steal less than PDP? Did PDP always beat it's chest as been anticorruption fighters? When you make promises, people are right to hold you accountable. Attempting to hide under the guise of PDP did worse does not cut it anymore. The much APC has done in 5 years is already dragging first position with pdp's 16 years... PMB minions also keep forgetting the fact that: bode George was a PDP member; tafa balogun was a top security officer under PDP government, EFCC & ICPC are creations of PDP governments; BVN was created by PDP government; TSA was the brainchild of the PDP government; FOI was instituted by the PDP government; Even the core facts on the cases of Kalu & dariye were extensively investigated under the PDP government; Besides, how can you say you are better at fighting corruption when your corruption index ranking is worse off than the previous administration? In the past, 100 people stole #100b, now 10 people are stealing #100b... Smoke & mirrors... 59 Likes 11 Shares |

JAMO84:One would have expected the appointees of buhari not to even try it.. Where's the proverbial body language you guys were throwing about? APC is an association of strange bedfellows where mutual suspicion is very high and every dog is doing it's best to outshine the other including the first lady Aisha buhari. And because buhari is not in charge, the side which you belong will make or mar you. 18 Likes 1 Share |
