What we are seeing now is a far better fight against corruption than the covid 16 years of the Poverty Development Party.

This administration has sent 4 ex - governors who are members of APC to prison. Many ex - government officials and the former PDP spokesman are in prison for corruption.

I challenge anyone to show me any high profile conviction of any PDP member during its covid 16 years.

All the corruption allegations we are seeing in public today wouldn't have been possible during the PDP era, they would have covered up every single one of it.

When Odua was indicted of corruption, they rewarded her with Senate ticket. When Sanusi exposed corruption, they sacked him immediately.

I agree that corruption is still a big challenge, but compared to the miserable PDP era, Buhari's fight against corruption is like a billion times better!!!!

I can see that you have a minute brain working system, Obasanjo under PDP created the EFCC and ICPC institutions to fight corruption, high profile cases like former gov of delta state James ibori was tried and his assets even in London was confiscated, former gov of bayelsa alameisegha was tried of corruption before he commit suicide, bode goeoge of former deputy Chairman was also tried of corruption, former PDP govs of Adamawa, Benue, Taraba, plateau even peter odili of river state and so on were all tried under PDP administration. If Bubu is serious fighting corruption his administration would have set up corruption courts to hasten the judicial process of trying corrupt persons. Bubu is a bigger thief with trillions of naira in his accounts.

It's only in nigeria that citizens will elect a comfirmed criminal and terrorist to come and fight corruption and terrorism. Buhari is no doubt a comfirmed senior hushpappa, most of the blame should actually go to enlightened knowledgeable nigerians who are supposed to know better and warn nigerians of the impending doom people like obj, soyinka, falana, utomi, ezekwesili, tinibu etc these senior citizens knows quite very well that buhari doesn't have the capacity to fulfill any of his promises of fighting corruption and improving the nigerian economy but due to their selfish interests of what they all stands to benefit from buhari's govt they all went ahead to back and support the corrupt jihadist into aso rock.

Don't ind these fools.

They are of the view that if they make enough noise about corruption in Buhari's govt, that the average Nigerian will just fall for their lies.
These ignoramus fools actually think that APC won because APC was able to pint them bad and not because they were actually bad. This is the kind of delusional and illogical confused mindset that you have in the Pandemic Development Party.

Any govt in Nigeria is going to have corrupt people in their mist unless you are going to run the govt with people imported from Sweden.
What's important is that those corruption should be exposed, investigated and those found wanting should be prosecuted. Even in the US, you have many cases of corruption but the chances of getting caught and prosecuted is very high. That's all we ask for, we don't expect a saintly govt. Not possible anywhere in the world especially in Nigeria where everyone is basically and epitome of corruption, selfishness and greed.
This govt is doing what I want them to do, that is to expose and investigate corrupt practices.
Not cover them up and label is as normal or tagging it as "STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION".
Exactly what I was saying, corruption as a front burner issue now is a big departure from their covid 16 years

The funny thing about this article is not the article itself....Mr Kperoggi as usual writes another good one...but the reaction to it.

On one hand, we have the pro-Buhari crowd who are busy saying that 'Yes, there is corruption, but look, we jailed Mr X, Alhaji Y and Sir Z.!'...almost as if a few arrests wipes clean the whole slate.

On the other hand there are those who agree with Farooq and blast APC. I would have agreed with them, except that some of them deny or pretend that when PDP was in power, things were better, and there was no corruption.(when there was...and in great amount).

All this tells me is that for most Nigerians, corruption is a weapon used to deal with one's political opponents so that they lose power, and then you can take over. After 2023...all the Bubu prise singers will suddeny become anti-corruption fighters when the PDP takes over, while most of the critics of this government would suddenly be like the grills guy...singing the praises.

Well, it's sad. Very sad. And it tells me one thing....Nigerians, whether Muslim, Christian, pagan, Northerner or SOutherner, are not ready to fight corruption. Not only are they not ready, they are also not willing to fight corruption. Because if Buhari up and decided to really fight corrupition, their daily bread would be cut off completely.

At this point, my prayers for Nigeria would be that God helps them see how corruption can be damaging. Because it really annoys me when people who were rightly blasting GEJ for all the corruption in his government, are now defending the corruption in Buhari's government. And on the other hand people who defended GEJ's government upon all the corruption there, are now defenders of good governance and right things under Buhari's government.

Nigerians are not ready to fight corruption. May God open our eyes, ortherwise , whether this country breaks up or stays together, the corruption monster is never ever going to go away.Because it is us.

But the problem is, the APC ran on the platform of 'We will fight corurption, we will not give any ground to it'

And five years later, what are we seeing.

The thing is, Nigeria has suffered long enough from corruption, and its effects...to the point that people are dying. Yes PDP is corrupt...but people did not vote for APC with the expectation that they would be the mirror image of PDP.

Either we stop excusing corruption, or the corruption monster will chop us. No excuses. Enough is enough. I want to live in a country that works please.

A businessman cannot force you to buy his product, if he makes a mistake he suffers the consequence.

A bureaucrat forces you to obey his decisions, whether you agree with him or not... If he makes a mistake you suffer the consequences, If he fails ,he passes the loss on to you in the form of heavier taxes.

Food for thought .

There's no way you can have a govt or even a private business in Nigeria without some form of corruption going on. This is simply because the society itself is simply made up of selfish and corrupt individuals.
What's important is to have a govt that is willing to expose and fight it from within
This is exactly what this govt is doing. There's no way any govt can catch and expose all corrupt cases. As good and effective as the FBI is, people still steal govt fund s through various means on daily basis. What's important is that when you are caught, you will pay the price.
Now we have a govt that is willing to expose corruption even within it's own ranks, what we need next is to make sure that those exposed and found capable should be punished to fullest extent of the law. That's all you can do a democratic system unless you want to go authoritarian where you can just execute accused based on hearsay.
I doubt you want to go down that lane.
