I think your best option is to go learn French and take the TEF exam. At this point, age is not on your side and CRS scores may not come lower than 470 anytime soon. French can add 42 points if you pass..however, it is not a walk in the park. If you are married, and your wife is younger, then she may be better of being the PA. If you aren't married, you can consider falling in love and marrying someone that has a Masters and aged between 25-28 who is also interested in moving to Canada. I wish you all the best.

Na to go fall in love with someone between 26-28 with masters degree niyen.

Thanks a bunch

Truly that 1114 does not match funds transferNOC.i searched this thread and asked multiple people all saying 1114. Would fly When I read the NOC lead statement and duties, they were completely different. The people that used it and was successful were lucky, that thing does not match funds transfer one bit. Till date I am still looking for NOC for my sister

My COPR story
Hello everyone, I’m not an active member of this forum, I started following few months to our AOR.I know my story is not the regular one you get here but i hope to inspire you with it. Timeline is stated below-
IELTS- LRSW(8,8,7.5,6.5)
CRS- 467 then 475
ITA- Oct 4th 2019 then Nov 13th 2019
AOR- Dec 15th 2019
MEP/BIL- January 2nd 2020
Stream- CEC(inland)
COPR- 27th May 2020.
moo My Canadian journey started in December 2015, I was recently married and about 7 months pregnant with a Canadian study visa. I left Nigeria 27th December 2015, landed here 28th December 2015. My husband applied for his work permit in February 2016 and it was approved before the end of the month. He joined me in March 2016. We welcomed our daughter in April 2016 and with the help of a strong support system (my mum and my husband), I was able to scale through school. While in school, i heard about express entry but i never gave it much thought, I assumed it would be stressful and that i’ll never be qualified. We had always planned on moving to another province with a flexible nominee program(Alberta and Manitoba were our top choices then) after my studies. Meanwhile, I met another Naija Pharmacist (may God bless her mightily) like me on Instagram and we got talking(she also schooled here and she got her PR before me), she explained the process to me and told me my chances were really high- I was below 30 with work experience and could claim points for Masters including the canadian education factor.

I decided to heed her advice and talked to my husband. I registered for IELTS and scored LRSW: 8,8,7.5,6.5-this was not a good enough score for FSW but i already graduated and got a skilled job. I calculated my CRS and realized that I would score 467(without hubby’s ECA and English proficiency test)if i waited to finish one year canadian experience. I was not confident enough that my writing score would improve and 467 seemed like a high score to me..smh. We welcomed our son in October 2018(this slowed things a little bit as i had to take a little break from work). I started my ECA process in April 2019 with PEBC, it was ready in August. We were invited on October 4th 2019(CRS cut-off of 464) but we had to decline the invitation because we didn’t want to risk being banned due to misrepresentation (there were too many errors, long story). The next draw was a program-specific draw for the trade folks so no ITA for us. The third draw in October almost put me in panic mode with a CRS cut-off of 475! I was like: ”what kind of wahala is this?” That same weekend, my husband wrote CELPIP(he registered immediately after the draw and had few days to prepare), the following week his result was out (I can’t remember his scores) and our CRS rose to 475, I was still scared but tried to be hopeful. Thankfully, we were invited in the next draw(CRS cut-off of 472).

We booked our medicals in an IRCC-approved clinic in Ajax where we reside and it was a stress-free experience, In less than one hour we were done. Nigerian PCC was done through a contact my husband had(we just scanned our passport and the form with our fingerprints and other information and he scanned the certificate to us the next day-it was straightforward). I contacted the Director of Pharmaceutical Services in the hospital where I did my internship, and the woman was really helpful. I gave her a template for the reference letter and she followed it. I didn’t have my payslips(for my Nigerian work experience) so I didn’t upload them. For my Canadian work experience though, I attached all my payslips and reference letter. There was no need for proof of funds because of the stream we applied through, we didn’t need RCMP PCC too as IRCC has some sort of access to the database. I also didn’t upload a letter of explanation( I honestly didn’t see the need, our application was straightforward I guess).I included our kids as unaccompanying dependents and stated my reason as- they are Canadian citizens and do not need PR. The system removed them after our BIL was sent. This whole process really made me respect people with long timelines. Hmmm.. the wait is not easy oo, less than 2 months post AOR , I was already calling IRCC, the agent said it was too early(me sef know). I decided to channel all my energy into reading for my Pharmacy licensing exams, it didn’t really help but i tried. I applied for GCMS notes in late January and got it o

Please @all,

I will be at 454 if I bag my masters next year and I ace IELTS. I don't think that will be enough with the way CRS score is going up these days...

In another development, if I quickly do one short course and ace IELTS now that I am 33, my CRS score will be 452 which is just 2 points lesser than waiting to complete Masters degree next year. Is 2 points worth the stress & time to complete Masters ?

What do you think I should do now ? Should I register for BCS if it's still possible, write IELTS and dive into the pool or I should kuku wait for masters next year?

Thanks @all

I am guessing you are already enrolled for the Masters. I'd advise you use the time between now and next year when your Masters will be ready to learn French and attempt TEF/TCF (one year could be enough is you are driven).

If you go for BCS, max IELTS and enter the pool at 452, your next birthday will still bring you down to 447 and then you are stuck.
I always advise people to be proactive. Go for the real deal. 54 points are up for grabs if you are bilingual.

Good day house.
Please I have a few questions.
1. Does the date of issue on reference letter matter. I want to start requesting for it cos of the so many process involved. Should I get it before I clinch ITA, would it pose a challenge?

2. My employer also insist for an address, they refuse to use TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN alone, does this invalidate it. Every other thing aligns with CIC format.

If this is your current employment, I would advise you wait till you get ITA or about to get ITA (when you have enough scores). If it is a past employment, please get it now and keep

Hello,
Quick question please, I have 3 years 4 months job Experience + 1 year NYSC experience with a master’s degree and I’m below 30 years. Before creating my EE profile, I checked my crs score online and it totaled 475. However on creating my EE profile, I was asked for my work experience and I chose the 2-3 years option. After transmitting my profile, my score dropped to 450. My best guess is that the score dropped because I chose 2-3 years as my work experience. I’m really confused o.. because, I thought that having 3 years or more work experience would earn me more points. I immediately withdrew the submission when I saw the drop in my score . Please I do I just add my NYSC work experience or what can I do?? cos I’m really confused at this point.
Thank you as you help me

Please log in to your profile and review the start and end dates for your employment history. I am guessing what you inputted fell short of 3 years hence you lost 25 points under adaptability. If you have over 3 years experience without NYSC, please just forget the NYSC (you should however include it under personal history post ITA)

Hello Good morning everyone, I told my best friend about the express entry and shes about to start the journey, she's 25 with a bsc from noun. I calculated her scores, with IELTS, TEF AND BCS, everything rounded up to about 500, if I add 3 years work experience it will round up to 522.
The challenge now is the work experience, she schooled in noun and since it's a part time school, she works and schools, and atm, she hasn't officially graduated because of the pandemic, but is done with her defense, final papers and all that since January. Problem we're having is how to present the work experience, since the pandemic, she has been managing her uncles business too and he pays into her account, her uncles company is registered and recognized. Please can she add that as work experience? Also the job she had during school days, does that count? Will she need to provide payslips for them? As she was paid via transfers and sometimes cash.
Thank you as I anticipate your responses.

Good morning seniors, In trying to update an already existing profile, the new modifications didn't seem to transmit. Minutes later, I got a mail in my box telling me to check my application. On checking, I realize my profile has changed to "ineligible". Now, I can't seem to be able to update it anymore. Is there anything I can do? Or I'll have to create a new profile? Kindly assist pls, it's urgent

You have to create a new one

good day house, I have a question regarding whether my work experience will count as 3 years and above.
1st degree Mining Engineering.
2nd degree Civil engineering.

Work experience
18months as a mining engineer ( I want to use this as primary work experience). NOC 2143. Skill level A.
20 months as a language instructor, NOC 4021. Skill Level A. Kindly not that this job is not related to my education background.

Would I be able to combine these work experiences?
Would it count as over 3 years experience? I have 38months of full time experience.

Thank you and God bless.

Yes. You appear to have 3 years and 2 months of experience.

Your educational background would apply in some PNP applications but less for express entry. Looks good to me.

Has anyone successfully gotten a PR to Canada as a teacher? I'm trying to make enquiry for my aunt. She's 30 and married with a kid, been a teacher for over 5 years. Has NCE and BSc.. and a Montessori certificate. She's currently preparing for TEFL for Vietnam, but we're exploring other options.
I already did some research but seems she has to Write some sort of exam and these exams are written only in Canada. Quite confusing..
Anyone please?

Thanks boss. I have started filling my express entry profile and this issue is d last thing I am trying to figure out. Maybe I am being too careful but I don't want to make a mistake I won't be able to correct in the future...u know these people really hold u to your words.

I would still appreciate any other inputs regarding where or not I can combine two NOCs (18months experience in NOC 2143 [mining] plus 20 months in NOC 4021[language instructor at a university]).

Both r skill Level A. NOC 2143 is primary NOC n aligns with both first degree (Mining) n Msc. Civil engineering.

Thank you.

I think it is quite normal that she will write some sort of exams. Even engineers that got PR need to pass their Professional engineering certification in Canada which I heard is quite tedious before they can practice as engineers. It might be the same for your sis where she needs to do some certification to upgrade her kpali once she gets there n has nothing to do with her ability to get PR.

Hi, pls I need your advise.

Just before lockdown, I converted some cash to dollars and opened a domiciliary account and put in about 10kusd. This cash was raised from sale of land and some savings due to the falling naira. Also my dad gave me some cash in usd and thus pof is complete but this account is less than 6 months and I hope to get ita soon as I am in the 470s, I am trying to cross my tees, is this account statement ok, apart from adding gift deed from dad, do I need to include my salary account also? Dad paid into my domiciliary account in person, i hope a gift deed is ok for that, do I also need to explain how this money came to be?

Secondly, I had an online masters from another country as everything was done online from registration to exams. Positively evaluated, now during the filling of the forms pre ita, in the education section, what do I fill in town of study? Considering I did everything online in another country, do I fill distance there instead a valid location of the university? I am asking because of recent rejection of someone online that was asked to submit 2 countries pcc? Pls help.

How do you plan to go about it since the VFS Global office is closed due to Covid-19.
