The business does.

The compounded growth rate of the earnings, profit, over a period of 5 years can be seen in the financial statement of their Businesses.

That is why you don't invest in a company that is not growing its earnings.

Compound interest case be used in fixed income , real estate, business etc.

A property of N10 million in 2010 that is now worth N25 million in 2020, has a compounded annual growth rate of 10%

Compound interest is like a miracle or magic, it has enormous power. When you compound first fruits, second fruits, third fruits so that you get to a point where you will have more money than you can spend. Even civil servants can be surreptitiously rich in 18 years, if they just have the discipline to spend just a fraction of their income on compounded investments.

Not easy o. Too many things take money in Nigeria. Most times, people see themselves operating pay check to pay check.

That is one of the problems of investing in the real sector and importance of diversifying your investments, you don't invest and sleep, you monitor your Investments every quarter.

Looking at the dividends , bonuses, capital appreciation earned over the years the following business have beaten inflation in the last 17 years, Nestle, First bank, Access Bank, Nigeria brewery, Flour Mills, GSK, Zenith bank, GTB, Okomu Oil, Presco, UBA, Custodian and Allied,Vita foam, and many more.

An investor should be able to identify a bubble, we have them in real estate, stock market and in business.

A stock of N30 that earned less than N1 is a bubble, 2006 and 2007 was a year of bubbles when people threw cautions to the wind

. Intelligent Investors switched to fixed income Investments during this period and switched back to equities to cherry pick when normalcy returned.

Few days ago, I talked about the bubble that is building up in Tesla

You said the aforementioned stocks has been beaten inflation in the past 17ys?

I have been into importation of electronics since 2001 and I can categorically tell you 17yrs ago US Dollar was selling at circa N100 whiie now exchange rate is circa N500.

If you discount forex rate you will see that those investing in NSE are simply doing blind business and getting poorer without knowing it.

The panacea for this problem, is any one staying abroad is whilst ur kids are growing up once in a while have them come see Nigeria. Let them enjoy when they come back to Nigeria. Do not start telling them Nigeria is a shit hole else them no go wan enter. To me it's an investment.

At some point
Typical African parents have to realise that the kids have their own lives to live, and decisions to make
Its happens, but is not very common to see kids born abroad who would see Nigeria as home, and a place they want to stay long term.

For some who do, just one traumatic/unsavory experience is enough to change their minds

42 apartments is more than enough, obviously he let the woman take advantage of him over his children. We can't tell where he lost total control but engaging the children in what you do before they start settling is the last chance to get things right.

Now he will start looking for a new wife at 60 years and changing baby diapers at 61.

The rental income is more than enough to give him a comfortable retirement

If you doubt me, get into with the Registrars of the list companies to give you the capitalisation history of the listed companies from 2003 till date, this will show you the bonuses earned over the years and dividends earned over the years.

1000 units of First Bank in 1994 has grown to 56,000 units in 2020 due to bonuses, Nigeria brewery even gave s better returns

The most important thing is to avoid buying into a bubble in whatever you invest in

Just read some of your previous posts, found out you JIJO and speculate a lot.

It will be better you stick to fixed income Investments or cash flow investments through dividend yields and earning growth of the business

Great move bro, it's the right way to go. The African descendants lose millions of dollars annually with the western built system, i can imagine so many developed countries where Africans own houses but still have to pay for it for 20 years and after payment they lose it, it should not be happening.

Now the loss is extending to people, it shouldn't continue, Africans are strong and powerful. One of the greatest asset to pass onto the next generation is identity(foreign pp and then cultural identity) then wealth, if someone can do both fine.

If we have more people investing in Nigeria like you plan, together we build Nigeria. It is tough in Nigeria as we all know but no place like home.

Despite his glaring incompetence

In case you dont know
Some of his ill fated policies are the reason why we had that mass exodus (let me call it capital flight) in late 2015 (say December) all through to 2016

Nigerians never seem to learn from their past mistakes, they will make same mistake again by 2023. In fact, some parts of the country are already vying to have Bola Tinubu as the next president, even though we have greater visionary leaders like Adesina Akinwumi. Later, we will keep wondering who did this to us... Like we're under a spell once it comes to choosing the right leaders.

I think the wave of suffering and misery would reset their brain to factory settings

Just maybe
But then
Maybe the seed of tribal chauvinism have taken deep root in the hearts of many Nigerians that no matter the suffering, the misery wont pull it out...

But then, I'm still betting on paragraph one
There will be a shift in voting patterns in 2023

You asked for it when you entered the realm of politics in this hallowed chamber of investment.
You obviously have never held any position of leadership, where you have to balance expectations with realities. Many things are wrong with this country, one of which is the people, on an investment thread like this, there are many people who voted for A or B, yet you sit down are called yourself a "fool" because they do not align with your political affiliation?
