ahiboilandgas: The business does. The compounded growth rate of the earnings, profit, over a period of 5 years can be seen in the financial statement of their Businesses. That is why you don't invest in a company that is not growing its earnings. Compound interest case be used in fixed income , real estate, business etc. A property of N10 million in 2010 that is now worth N25 million in 2020, has a compounded annual growth rate of 10% 3 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: You said the aforementioned stocks has been beaten inflation in the past 17ys? I have been into importation of electronics since 2001 and I can categorically tell you 17yrs ago US Dollar was selling at circa N100 whiie now exchange rate is circa N500. If you discount forex rate you will see that those investing in NSE are simply doing blind business and getting poorer without knowing it. 8 Likes |

Godbpraised: At some point Typical African parents have to realise that the kids have their own lives to live, and decisions to make Its happens, but is not very common to see kids born abroad who would see Nigeria as home, and a place they want to stay long term. For some who do, just one traumatic/unsavory experience is enough to change their minds |

Greenvaiper: It's very unfortunate really. How we opened our eyes and let this man do this wreckage to our country Now many investment platforms returns have gone sideways, as a direct result of his misgovernance And to think many still try to defend him and his incompetent government is still mind boggling Many of those who voted him are worse off today than they were five years ago I see them begging upandan, looking for school fees money for their kids or even money to eat because they have been retrenched and find it difficult to get jobs Call me a wicked person or wizard, I dont care But I'm happy this is happening to them and I only wish for their suffering to increase So that by the time 2023 comes With eight years of excruciating suffering They will open their eyes and vote better next time. Anyways Let's just leave the matter as e be... And let's continue to talk investment 7 Likes 1 Share |

Great move bro, it's the right way to go. The African descendants lose millions of dollars annually with the western built system, i can imagine so many developed countries where Africans own houses but still have to pay for it for 20 years and after payment they lose it, it should not be happening. Now the loss is extending to people, it shouldn't continue, Africans are strong and powerful. One of the greatest asset to pass onto the next generation is identity(foreign pp and then cultural identity) then wealth, if someone can do both fine. If we have more people investing in Nigeria like you plan, together we build Nigeria. It is tough in Nigeria as we all know but no place like home. Godbpraised: 8 Likes |

Looks like this place has entered the realms of politics. Only a foolish person will want to blame the president for the slump in crude oil price, corona virus and its attendant effect on the economy. Only a foolish person. DexterousOne: 1 Like |

9jatriot: You see what I am talking about ? Another one coming to absolve buhari of blame Despite his glaring incompetence In case you dont know Some of his ill fated policies are the reason why we had that mass exodus (let me call it capital flight) in late 2015 (say December) all through to 2016 Oil prices fell That's fine I wont totally blame you for that But what I blame every president for is their POLICIES. That is what you have control over And most of his economic policies are WRONG and I'll fated Now the fall out of this, is that Emefiele is cracking his head, and running out of options Its gonna be a bumpy ride Hope everyone has his seat belt on 1 Like |

Nigerians never seem to learn from their past mistakes, they will make same mistake again by 2023. In fact, some parts of the country are already vying to have Bola Tinubu as the next president, even though we have greater visionary leaders like Adesina Akinwumi. Later, we will keep wondering who did this to us... Like we're under a spell once it comes to choosing the right leaders. DexterousOne: 5 Likes |

But then, I'm still betting on paragraph one There will be a shift in voting patterns in 2023 That said Do you really mean it? That there are some touting for that bourdillon criminal to succeed Buhari? My goodness!!!!! What happened to my country Anyways let me still have a glimmer of hope That a proper candidate comes and succeed him I dont care where he comes from Or his religion Just come and save this country from the imminent collapse it is facing |

You asked for it when you entered the realm of politics in this hallowed chamber of investment. You obviously have never held any position of leadership, where you have to balance expectations with realities. Many things are wrong with this country, one of which is the people, on an investment thread like this, there are many people who voted for A or B, yet you sit down are called yourself a "fool" because they do not align with your political affiliation?
