Even one day I asked one of my cousins her favorite country and she told me it is Egypt. I don't think there is a single Egyptian out there who sees Ethiopia as their favourite.

The problem is that Egypt doesn't want any of the downstream countries engage in any activity that will interfere with her supply of water from The Nile.

If the water levels reduce than so does their agricultural yield, which means they would lose mass amounts of money and their nation would start to starve, it is for them to dictate because the dam can reduce the water levels in Egypt which would drastically hurt them. It’s like if you own an agricultural processing factory and a farm, the fertilizer and animal feed you use is gotten from cassava peelings, than one day someone comes goes to the person who gives you the cassava peelings and says they want to use it for electricity. So now you can’t feed your animals, grow your plants so you can’t process the, either. Your company will fail, will you not try and stop the person from doing it or you would just let your firm die, and your family starve.

Tanzania went to war with Uganda in 1979. Ugandans had the best weapons.But what happened? Ugandans who were helped militarily by Libya,which supplied weapons and soldiers,lost a war to Tanzanians,and we captured alive hundreds of Libyan soldiers.

Egyptians know very well its tough to crack the Ethiopians. What they do now is just threatening.A war is something else.

Whereas the Ethiopian Government also cares about producing Electricity for his people,
So Egypt should think around the clock and come out with a solution and stop their bossy attitude towards Ethiopians.

When Ethiopia started building the Dam, what prevented Egypt from building mini-dams that could store more water for irrigation?

They sat aloof cos they knew their plans, and they've started executing it, but Ethiopians shouldn't mind them.

You control the side of the river that passes through your country, you can't dictate to your neighbor on how to use their side of the river in their country.
