Its not my business to show you what other governors are doing. Im only interested in commenting where I see fit. Udom has done fine by creating jobs for his people. it is commendable and more preferable to big flyovers and building airport lounges. People need to be employed to live their lives. for all her huge allocations I still consider Akwa Ibom a poor state. Poor in the sense of the livability of her citizens that I see in Lagos and PH and Abuja. Alot of them live in batchers and shacks and it speaks alot about life in Akwa Ibom. If citizens of a state should be outside in such numbers and most living in squabble conditions, then the govt isn't getting priorities right.

I didn't quote you to say he didn't do well, but there is nothing Amazing. good job tho. Why are you even Amazed sef..

God bless you

80% of the things am seeing on this thread I am not sure any state in the SS or SE has achieved it.

Port Harcourt is an ancient city older than uyo. Comparing the age of uyo and Port Harcourt plus the fact that uyo started earning oil money in just less than 15years after it's boundary adjustment issues. When Rivers State has been earning oil money for decades. Uyo is the fastest growing state in the south after Lagos.

I can debate this with anybody
You can educate @ seven24 ... He seems to be allergic to development

All what am seeing here is what a single person can conveniently set up. Not to talk of a state like Akwa Ibom that is collecting billions of naira as allocation every month. Akwa Ibom should be talking about setting up mega gas plant, seaports, utilizing her long coastal line through tourism, building refinery to refine part of the two million of barrels of crude oil produced from the state on a daily basis.

Please, Akwa Ibom State is bigger than all these face me i face you factories am seeing up there. Stop promoting mediocrity. cry cry cry

Don't fail to tell us names of the investors of these factories

Stop misinforming people here by hyping the government of the day.

Tell us the budgetary allocations of these industries, we are not fools here. In other words, how much did Akwa Ibom State Government budget for each of these industries

A breakdown please

You can also show us the budget lines to back up your claims

Thank you

More is expected from the richest state in Nigeria with just 5 million people.

On top of that, Akwa Ibom is the 3rd state with the largest Debt in Nigeria with N240.0 billion.

Not impressed.

What happen to the first 2, what are they doing with it?

The argument you put up here does not change the fact that the allocations of Akwa Ibom are in the hands of the few, the rest of the people are poor.
What you are doing now (hallelujah boys club) is positioning yourself in order to get your own share (crumb), though you may not like to admit it, we understand.

I quite agree that Akwa Ibom, aside flyovers, are largely slums and this has no connection with it being the most cleanest City in Nigeria.
Apart from the beautiful and clean roads, we have nothing else to showcase...

Stop defending this thing
You are making things difficult for the common man
Reading your nonsense is waste of time... You really need some brain cells

This is the problem, it's hard not to give him any credit for bringing investors into his state to create jobs and expand the state's IGR, but the problem and the main elephant in the room is Akwa Ibom collecting the largest allocation in Nigeria and also the 3rd largest state debt in Nigeria with little or nothing to show.

I do understand that some of the borrowed money came from Akpabio who actually commissioned less than 5 projects in his 8 years in office.

Akwa Ibom is the richest state in Nigeria with just 5 million people but looks like the poorest state in Nigeria.

It surprises me the kind of hate I see whenever I open any topic relating to Akwa Ibom State.
Instead of we arguing constructively which is one of the reasons our dear country is where it is today (cause we leave to argue constructively for development and began to speak hate (division) and condemn a common good of the other).
We are all aware of the famous phrase that says: "ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY" and so I ask why then would you guys not allow Akwa Ibom State that began to develop only from 2010 cause even as at 2007 when Akpabio became gorvernor Akwa Ibom State was nothing to be said of (not in infrastructure, road, economic activities and/or allocation) that either any Akwa Ibomites or Nigerians was proud of.
But with recent facts on ground, it has been proven that Akwa Ibom State has grown drastically beyond expectations comparing to how our Nigerian politicians gorvern us (the same has not been the case of Akwa Ibom State).
We Akwa Ibomites are not saying we are there yet neither are we saying we are any better than others (cause if Nigeria in its entirety were to be good, then every state would have been better) but we are only saying that we are happy when something that will add to the continuous development and improvement of our dear state occurs.
We are not also saying that our gorvernors (both past and present) are better than yours or that our state is more developed (in all ramifications) than yours but we are saying (constructively) that we are happy with the rate our state is developing to meet up with the standard of the world.
We are not saying our state is good but we are saying that with time our state will be better.
We are not saying that our state is the only developing state but we are saying that with time it will be developed.
The reason why the Nigerian gorvernment want to sign the HATE SPEECH bill into law (which I am in no way supporting) is because we have failed to criticize our gorvernment constructively and rather choose to bring hate and division into all our criticisms.
Truth is Nigeria is great and will continue to grow greater only if we leave hate and division and criticize our gorvernment constructively.
Truth is even as at 2008/2009 as an Akwa Ibomite I was referred to as a Cross Reverian (even when I tell people that I am from Akwa Ibom State) this I don't blame them (because as at then I repeat "there was nothing to speak of in Akwa Ibom State"wink not until the commissioning of the state of the art God'swill Akpabio International Stadium that people start referring to Akwa Ibom as a different state from Cross Rever State.
So I ask you guys again "why do you think I should not be proud of my Akwa Ibom State" when even though it is not the best in all ramifications, it is better.
Finally guys, please let's learn to argue and criticize constructively devoid of hate and division and we would all live to see Nigeria become the Nigeria of our dreams.
God bless Akwa Ibom State
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

You nailed it. God bless you for this.

That's your choice to think that way, but I have alot AKWAIBOM people that I assist often. Even the one that works my power generator is from AKWAIBOM. Alot of your people fix generator set. It is about facing reality, not hating.

Your views are so uneducated. Debrief yourself from a lot of fallacies, hatred and ethnocentric inclinations that have built skyscrapers in your head.

Why are you so irredemably pained that a state is making efforts to industrialise and create jobs. Such pettiness and bigoted appraisal of issues can only be harbored by a sick, toxic, backward, uncivilized, barbaric, retrogressive, cynical and judgmental mind. Get help fast.
