Imo state police command arrest pastor Joseph Anthony of the Living Faith Church in Njaba for raping one Favour Chikanma.

The 11-year-old victim is a daughter of the suspect’s fellow pastor, Pastor Chukwuma Okoronkwo.

The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, Confirm the arrest in a statement on Monday.


The statement reads:

PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATIONS REVEALED THAT THE SAID PASTOR CHUKWUMA OKORONKWO ACCOMMODATED PASTOR JOSEPH ANTHONY IN THEIR HOUSE AND ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT.

THE SAID PASTOR JOSEPH ANTHONY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE FACT THAT HE WAS AT HOME ALONE WITH THE VICTIM AND HAD CANAL KNOWLEDGE OF HER.

INVESTIGATION IS AT ADVANCED STAGE.

HE WILL BE CHARGE TO COURT ACCORDINGLY
