don't pay full payment to someone you don't know until you established trust. the client that I just finished his job, who is a nairaland member didn't pay me a dime until two weeks into the job. it wasn't easy working with my own resources but I had to do that to establish trust. Another thing is that most so called developers here are just WordPress junkies that can't really program but rely heavily on plugins. when such people get paid for what they can't do, they just pocket the money.You should file a complaint with his bank by meeting a customer care agent of his bank

MODIFIED: I just visited your link above. if you actually paid 5k for that job then you should also blame yourself. How do you expect someone to integrate a payment module for you for 5k? Programming isn't cheap, everything is not drag and drop. nobody who actually programs will do that job for 5k unless for portfolio sake. just today a potential client wanted me to integrate paystack, automate payment and vending of data to his customers, build an emailing and ticketing system for him for less than 10k. I simply declined but some people will just pocket his money.

I gave u my price for this job, u thought I was too expensive. Now you ran into a scammer. Programming is not easy as others have pointed. So when a pro gives you a price, its due to the hard work that goes into it.

No one deserves to be cheated or robbed of their money. It is why it is always advisable to do due diligence before handing over your project, be it mini or major to anyone/any agency.

You can ask his bank to block the account as you have been scammed. The domain is a .com.ng, which means you can trace its owner and where it is bought to lodge a complaint. Take the step to report the domain to NIRA and domain host.

On a final note, asking for a full payment on a job prior to completion is not the way to go and no client should indulge that.

It is a painful experience. You can help others by dropping the full name and account details you paid to so others won't fall victim as well.

I think you're wrong here. Paylink is owned by Remita. It's a new Remita response to Paystack and Flutterwave.
This is because the original Remita service is more of cooperate use.
So they came up with Paylink for individual use.

The mother company for both Remita and Paylink is SystemSpec.
