Subzero047: Iwobi struggled this season with Everton, and that's normal... Some players struggle when they join a new team... But trying to dismiss his creative ability is a weak attempt at trying to discredit him.. I'd rather replace Iwobi with Eze in midfield.. Assuming we have fullbacks that are effective in attack,I won't mind having Aribo and Ejaria... but since we don't, let's stick with the AM role.. Modified: Leicester have Madison and Tottenham have Alli.. So what are u saying?? 2 Likes |

Danielnino00: I know it is change you are afraid of If we are to compete with the best in the world we have to adapt to new tactics Fullbacks get confident and creative if they know they have cover, Imagine Jamilu Collins going into attack knowing he has absolutely no cover. This happened with the Leicester team when Ndidi was absent, Vardy stopped scoring and the whole team collapsed because they were not assured of the defensive solidity |

Danielnino00: Maddison plays in an 8 with Tielemans, Tottenham play with Ndombele and Le Celso as 8s |

Subzero047: Nothing like being afraid of change.. It is a case of "you can't give what you don't have".. Pray tell me,what's stopping Jamilu Collins and our other fullbacks from joining the attacks at their clubsides if they are so good at it? We played with two holding midfielders in Etebo and Ndidi yet they couldn't join the attack.. what makes you think the combo of Aribo and Ejaria will suddenly inspire instill the spirit of Dani Alves and Marcelo inside them? |

TheLoneCitizen: You think adarabioyo will have a chance as a backup at city ? Anything is possible but we should be realistic most times 1 Like 1 Share |

Danielnino00: Maybe they're not good enough, but having no cover does not inspire confidence in a fullback to join the attack My point still stands that having two creative midfielders is better than having one |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Danielnino00(m): 8:52pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
Subzero047: @ first bolded... You should have said that before instead of beating around the bush... @ second bolded... Aribo and Iwobi or Aribo and Eze will be a better creative midfield combo... |

andrewbaba44: Why can't he Andy? He had a good season at Blackburn If he builds on on that, he can be a good defender at city (not just a backup) This is as realistic as realistic can be Mangala, John stones, Otamendi all played for M.City He can be better than them |

JayromWrites: I like your hope for him as he is a naija player He will have a chance maybe when pep leaves These players you mentioned are miles ahead of adaribioyo, maybe you should have used Eric Garcia and zichenko as example You think city is Chelsea that gave tomori a chance ? You forget otamendi and stones are players for their national teams ? Shebi na for adaribioyo front others player get chance He won’t have a chance at city I will eat my words when he does 1 Like 2 Shares |

For some reasons, he hasn't resumed with them yet. I know they say Covid but Samson Tijani was able to show up in Austria. Whatever it is, I hope he can resume soon enough with them. gamaliel9: 1 Like |

TheLoneCitizen: Newly promoted Bundesliga team, Arminia Bielefeld have made public their interest in Zaidu Sanusi. But the sports director have claimed they cannot match the spending power of Benfica or Porto who are firm favorites to complete the signing. Sanusi would go for nothing less than 3M to which the sporting director said, "Unfortunately, this is not feasible for us". SOURCE: Neue Westfälische |

andrewbaba44:Pep is no genius in this regard. The man has spent £400M in buying just defenders alone in his time so far in Man city. Any half Wit on that sort of money can replicate his body of work building Man city defence. What exactly is he doing with Ake, a left footed center back when he already has Laporte? Can he play 2 left footed players in center back? |

Danielnino00:Don't let those numbers deceive you. Putting a cross into the 18yard box counts as creating chance. Infact, passing a ball to a guy who beats 5 players before striking wide at goal or over the bar counts as chance created. Mind you, Iwobi played very close to Arsenal strikers so this is not really an achievement if taken every parameter into context. |

Danielnino00:I have told you how the computer calculates chance created. The so called big chances simply means the player gave the pass that lead to a shot. Deconstruct this with the position he played for Arsenal as an advance midfield player, then you will realise there's no much to talk about. Mind you, this guy was feeding the deadliest striker in Europe at the time. Auba's shot to goal ratio last 2 seasons was phenomenal. At a point he was on one shot one goal during Arsenal's 22 goal run. If you're feeding such a striker and you're not hitting more than 4 assists then something is wrong somewhere. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Barryseal: 11:13pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
Danielnino00:Who else was Arsenal's most advance midfielder outside Ozil and Iwobi? Ozil and Mikhitarian missed many games, mind you. It's academic Iwobi would have been the next player in chance created due to his starting position on the field. T You think Pele never missed chances? I'm telling you Aubameyang shot per goal statistics was something like one shot, one goal. Aubameyang ended up that season as the league's top scorer. Even Lacazette scored his own fair share of goals. The koko be say Iwobi's chance created were not good enough to translate to assists. See how Saka was dropping his assists this season. Even Willock. |

Barryseal: Alex Iwobi created more chances from open play (40) than any other Arsenal player during the 2018-19 Premier League season; no Arsenal player completed more take-ons (46) either. Squakwa Football 2018/2019 Playing close to the strikers? Where were the other midfieders or wingers playing? Closer to the bench? 6 Likes |
