Because I have one at my pig farm, that is peaking on maggot from the my pig waste.
It has layer a total of 12 eggs as at today, so I wait for her Or I start eating the eggs?

Using 1.5kg consumption chart for broilers (I usually do 1.25kg jare), that's;

1.5kg x 100 (broiler chicks for 4 weeks) = 150kg

25kg per bag of Broiler starter i.e: 150/25 = 6 bags , give or take 7 bags. This will do just fine. Nevertheless, the number of weeks to cull them is also a determinant factor biko. For me, I just do am jejely.

How do you handle/manage their feces?
Do you dispose them?
Do you sell to local farmers as organic manure?

If you were able to sell to local farmers, how did you source for them?, how do they buy- the quantity, how many kg per bag, how much per kg?

Like someone said, the probability of noilers/kuroilers going broody is quite low. I had two out of 7 kuroilers going broody after they had both laid close to 38 eggs . (why I had to resort to incubator usage)

Most of the time, i compost my manure to be used for my veggies. I rarely have enough to use during planting seasons not to talk of selling out.

As you can see, this is the downside of crossing hybrids. Attached is a picture of the chicks from the same mother hen (black kuroiler) and a Male Rooster (Ross 308). Both hatched the same day, with just 5mins apart.
I am guessing the other is a runt . And they are both male chicks having inspected both.

I would like to go for broiler, but heard they consume alot of feed and also waste feed.
Layers on the other hand is good if I can know when it will be ready to lay as I cannot afford point of lay for now.
I will consider Cockerel or noiler for now but do well to enlighten me on others breed

4 mortalities (3 on delivery and I stepped on one ) recorded so far and that's 100% of the 350 pieces gotten and 98.87 of total stock of 357.

It's time to get them to their new owners.

A difficult one if you ask me, since both birds exhibit virtually the same characteristics; An imitation of one another. Nevertheless, having bred both to maturity under intensive, semi-intensive and A total free range system, the kuroiler takes the trophy.

They are heavy birds with better feed conversion.
They are hardier birds compared to Noilers in a free range system.
Although the Noilers lays earlier (most of mine starts at the 4 month) but the kuroiler lays bigger eggs and more.
But my brother, Kuroilers dey chop oooooo!!!
