Ongoing Screening Safety Health Advisory To NPower Volunteers

It is no longer news that the ministry for Humanitarian Affairs is conducting a screening exercise for all the previously and recently exited NPower volunteers for the Ministry planned exit opportunities for the NPower volunteers.

As a result of that, it is very important that all the NPower beneficiaries undergoing the screening exercise take safety precautions to protect themselves from COVID-19. The Coronavirus is very much around.

Though some states have made it easy for the NPower volunteers by not doing the screening physically, some states are still conducting physical screening. If your state is conducting a physical screening, please take the following safety precaution:

1) Wear a face mask
2) Maintain social distancing
3) Sanitize your hands before going out and wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water when back from the screening.
The Ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development are exploring opportunities with some MDAs such as the CBN, State government, and private sectors for the NPower beneficiaries.

Please where is all this screening taking place? Am from Delta n noting like screening here. Please throw more light on this. There is no email from Npower about this screening.

The spokesperson to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina has made it clear on Channels TV, Friday, the 7th of August 2020, that all exited NPower beneficiaries will be paid not later than next week.
The presidential spokesman made it clear on the position of the Federal Government to the exited NPower volunteers, in his precise words, “there is no going back, disengaged NPower volunteers are already exited”
Government cannot continue to pay 500,000 NPower volunteers for life, others will be given similar opportunities
“He disclosed that, the NPower Batch C registration has shown that, more Nigerians are willing to acquire skills, as shown by the numbers of applications received.
Before the end of next week, all NPower volunteers would have been paid, we have strategized and modified means to pay all the exited NPower volunteers without flagging of their account, the presidential adviser added.
The president’s spokesman said the issues the protesters were demonstrating about such as insecurity, corruption, poverty, and rights abuse were not peculiar to Nigeria and so the protests were misguided.
He said the NPower scheme, which gives unemployed youths temporary jobs and monthly stipends was one of the ways the government was addressing joblessness.
Femi Adesina added that the President recognises the problems but they cannot be addressed in one fell swoop.
When asked if the clampdown on protests would continue Adesina noted that the Federal Government will do whatever is right, whatever is required to maintain peace in the country”

Greetings esteemed NPower beneficiaries,

So I contacted NPower Office Abuja, with regards to the different issues that affects us especially the recent news of data collation in different LGAs of the Federation and they gave me this reply:

"Greetings Sir

Thank you for your email.and we hope you are keeping safe.

Kindly be informed that June 2020 and July 2020 payment is being worked on for the NPower Batch A and B, respectively.

As regards the stipend from March 2020, kindly be informed that the NPower volunteers were processed for these payments but unfortunately, their payment details were flagged by the payment platform; the reason for the payment flag is currently being investigated and all eligible NPower volunteers will likewise be paid their due.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we request that you kindly encourage the NPower volunteers to exercise some patience regarding the payment issues.

Regarding devices, there is no device provision for Batch B NPower volunteers.

We would like to inform you that the transition plan for the volunteers is still in the works and you will be duly informed on what it entails at the appropriate time.

Finally, kindly be informed that any post or instruction that did not emanate from our official social media handles should be considered as fake news and ingenuine, kindly sensitize the volunteers to not fall prey.

Thank you for all that you do and kind regards."

I hope this message will help douse the current tensions in the state and offer hope for those with serious issues.

Thank you and Please Stay Safe

NPower Stipends: Be Rest Assured, You Will be Paid-NPower Facebook Handle

Adding to the assurance given by the spoke person to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina has made it clear on Channels TV regarding NPower Beneficiaries' Stipends
The Official Facebook Handle has once again assured all NPower volunteers to be rest assured as all their stipends will be paid.
NPower Volunteers in their large numbers swarmed the official page of the NPower scheme on Facebook, demanding owed stipends.
The Federal Government under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has disengaged NPower Batch A and NPower Batch B beneficiaries, but still owing NPower volunteers months of stipends.
Lately, NPower volunteers had embarked on protests, hoping for a reversal of the disengagement plan on ground, but the matter is “still lingering”.
The Federal Government is considering providing skills acquisition for entrepreneurship and job creation programme called “Exit Package”, that will lunch the NPower volunteers into viable opportunities in the economy.

N-Power Volunteers' Outspoken Leader and Permanency Campaigner, Justin Tsegba Writes:

SADIYA'S FAKE 300,000 N-POWER VOLUNTEERS' SUPPORTERS AND THE DESPERATION OF AN INCOMPETENT POLITICAL SLAY QUEEN By Justin Tsegba

No doubt I mean different things to different people. But one thing has always been consistent about my character and person: my uncompromising stance against bad governance and incompetent leadership which Sadiya Farouq, Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and her principal, president Mohammadu Buhari personified.

Recently, following a massive, all-out protest in Abuja by exited N-Power beneficiaries against their disengagement from the scheme, Ms Farouq cleverly went to some media houses with a manufactured press statement purportedly signed by a non existent individual claiming to be national leader of an emergency group of Sadiya Farouq's N-Power beneficiaries' supporters Network.

The message in the concocted press release was to discredit our protest as handiwork of agents of the opposition which should therefore be disregarded.

Truth is that even the media houses that published the report knew it to be false, fake and untrue but only a few editors can resist the kind of brown envelope given to get it done.

As if that is not enough, she went on to hire and mobilize some touts to hold a counter rally thanking the president for the opportunity given them. All this happened after she swiftly reacted to our protest, insisting that the government have no N300Billion as exit payoff of N600,000 to each outgoing volunteer.

If there's one thing obvious in both the actions and body language of Ms Farouq, it is the fact that the ongoing protest is deeply unsettling her. A reason why every N-Power volunteer must add his voice to the protests till she yield to our righteous demands.

I have said before in one of my articles here that Ms Sadiya Farouq is not more qualified to run a government ministry than many of us. But since political patronage have placed her above us as manager, we must not fold our hands and watch her maltreat us like voiceless slaves.

The apparent desperation Ms Sadiya Farouq has shown so far in countering our protest is clear manifestation of her notorious incompetence and cluelessness, which have proved her greatest undoing. Like a slay queen she truly is, her physical good look have failed to make up for her obvious deficiency in capacity and leadership skill.

We must therefore understand the politics involved and play it well. This is not necessarily about us. It is about our survival, future, family and advancement of better society - all of which are causes worth dying for.

We shall see the light at the end of the tunnel. BELIEVE you me.

Exited NPower Beneficiaries Asked NPower To Clear The Air On Data Collection In States

NPower Batch A and NPower Batch B exited volunteers have asked the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to clear the air on the ongoing data screening of exited NPower beneficiaries in the various states across the federation so that no NPower volunteer will be left out since the data collection is not done harmoniously.
Reasons have been that Npower has told its beneficiaries to always stay glued to their official channels for authentic information but since the news for data collection of exited NPower volunteers was announced, NPower has remained mute towards this development. A situation that has kept some NPower beneficiaries in a confused state.
The NPower volunteers are requesting that NPower should make a statement regarding the data collection of Batch A and B to attest to the genunity.
The exited NPower volunteers are asking whether Npower situation room, no longer have their data on the Npower database. Why are we been asked to send our information manually, when you have all our information, the NPower volunteers asked in a different comment.
The information requested that the NPower desk officers in various LGA should communicate to the exiting NPower beneficiaries the various opportunities that the Ministry is exploring with some MDAs, such as the CBN, and inform those that are interested to submit their email address and phone numbers to the Npower state office within a week.
