So what? There is no big deal about your friends buying land while you were doing your NYSC. Just get a good job and in less than two years, you will surpass all their achievements.

If you want to hustle until you land your dream job, please do. There is no crime in legit hustle. But please, don’t ever think that your education is a waste. Even if you decide to go into business, your education will stand you out and give you an edge.

Dear DrSnives,

Let's keep up your faith and hope with the words below,
You can control one life—yours.
But when you constantly compare ourselves to others,
You waste precious energy focusing on other peoples' lives rather than your own.

So how do you stop comparing your lives with your friends lives?

The first step is to accept yourself.
Focus on your life, and don't spend any time or energy on the lives of others.
Be the bigger person.
Don't look at the achievements and blessings of other people and envy them.

God bless whatever endeavors you want to embark on.
All of us @ wish you the very best

Don't worry, You have a beautiful, bright future ahead of you.
It is not how far, but how well.
The first house in a street doesn't mean it will be the most beautiful.

We Rise!
thank you so much i was touched by this too

Do you know the different scholarship opportunities right now one can apply for?

Unfortunately, I'm not armed with loads of advisory information on this area. But one which can really help is the common wealth scholarship scheme with which you can further your studies in the UK. This scheme is open to citizens of common wealth countries of which Nigeria is a member.

Why UK is a good option now? well they're revising their immigration system to allow M.Sc graduates stay back and work for at least two years. Also, PhD holders no longer require a certificate of sponsorship to obtain work permit.

Other bits I know of are tuition free Universities in Germany, but the requirements to get there and eventually become a citizen...I don't know much.

You could browse through the Travel section of this platform, I'm pretty sure there are loads of valuable info there.

Need Your Prayers On My New Adventure

Hello guys I don't want to bore you with a long epistle, I recently came back from service (nysc) and found my guys those that didn't even go to school buying lands n building for themselves structures especially the ones riding okada. Most of them do have savings of 10k weekly aside other expenses like feeding, rent etc despite having wife/girlfriends n children.

Though I learnt mason work before going to the university but mason work is seasonal especially during the raining season, have been at home for almost 3wiks doing nothing just spending the little savings I had from service.

With that been said I decided to get myself a bike with the remaining money I have pending on when things sterblize (federal/state job or when HV gathered enof Moni for business). If those with family can save 10k weekly, I think I can save 15k weekly since am single and still staying with my parents. I prayed to God for direction Sha but hope my decision isn't bad?

A lil prayer for me won't be bad
God bless you, bro

As a graduate, do not be enticed by quick money and mega sum of money. Saving 15k per week is good but you can also earn better.

Starting with a bike for okada isn't a bad idea, but THINK BIG.

As a graduate, conduct mini market survey (research) on what people need that they find difficult to get and provide such. Challenge your thinking faculty to arrive at a solution to societal problems.

Read about Problem Solving Quality of Leadership. You will be grateful you did 5 years from now.

May God bless your hustle my brother, what i will say is that make sure you meet up with your timeline and don't extend it beyond your target date because of your health, be focused on it. after meeting your target, you can give the bike to another rider who can still be doing delivering to you or better still you can sell it off to add to the money saved. and another things is that which ever account you are making the savings to, don't collect the ATM card of that account and don't put their app on your phone until you achieve your target.

Thanks for your suggestion, but have weighed my options bro and I think it's little bit okay n I have equally prayed about it. It's just for a while let's say from now till December let me raise like 250k then I'll start up something come January

The issue I have with bike is the risk. If u must, then don't ride on the express

You may buy the Okada but please don’t be the one to ride it. Give it to someone, I think the weekly delivery money s 10k/week depending on your location. Why not POS business after getting the okada.

I know how you feeling but my brother.. every body get en own time ooo. Ma wo ago alaago shishe ooo!!!
I'm facing the same problem, now. Finished my national service last month. I have only 200k now and I wanna start a POS business, and I've been told by the bank that I need 200k as the startup capital in the bank account. I need about 100k to establish the business now for shop and other stuff. I'm probably stuck in the middle of starting the business.

* buying a bike would have been a great adventure but for your opening remark * cos ur friend who did not go to school.....*
Are u kidding me?

I have a step brother who didn’t go to school but venture into farming and cocoa merchandise (cos that was our father’s work/business)... Now he is got houses huge lands and big cars .... so what?

I don’t have any of the above listed... does that make him better than me ? No! Does my schooling make me better than him ...? Never!! Never!!

That’s his passion and and he find fortune in it...I have followed mine too

My friend... you just came back from service you need to relax and take out time for what will fetch you durable riches and future fortune ...

Why on earth will you put urself on same pedestal as ur friend riding a bike ( do u think he is happy doing that?)

As I can see ... riding a bike is not your genre .. I will not advise you to go further ... but since u have bought one you may give someone for daily or weekly delivery
But for you ...
Sit down and ask urself what u really want to do with ur life ... no man on earth worth your reference... and I mean no man!
you are too much for that ‘thing’ u call house and land... get off my sight jare... you fall my hand!!!

Pursue a scholarship and leave the country.

See the bigger picture. Don’t give your best years to a country whose economy is horribly managed.

Further your studies on a scholarship outside the country. Nail down a decent job, earn some forex and then set up export oriented investments in Naija.

I’ll always say this, with the current arrangement of things in Naija, you only need to see 4 different faces serve two terms each as President (and governors at state level) and before you know it, 32 years of your life is gone. The picture below explains it better.

My two cents. Peace

Completey dumb talk...wake from ur slumber, d op has taken a step and will keep moving, ur type are d type dat roam from one cyber cafe to d other, or keep begging for sub..day dreaming of one scholarship or d other when ur guys have started small and moving up..its gud u do d scholarship thing as a last option

Not every issue should be seen from the angle of badbelle. Dude was trying to pass a message even though he made it personal about himself. He simply used their condition as a wake up call for himself
