this is my first trial as I couldn't get murano.
from the first set of harvest, I was able to get 9bags.
I am patiently waiting for the next harvest

Even the drawing on the sachets is not bright enough to capture its real colour. Can you help with pix of next harvest even if its just a fruit, just want to see how greenish it is.

I have never tasted it. I don't like cucumber. deep green sells better here and with a good price compared to this one

Am in Lagos and it hasn't rained in over 3weeks, am thinking of trying it in small quantity though. I did some research on it and it seems to be a high yielding cultivar.
Can u pls contribute if u know more about it. I also saw Kareem f1 do u know it
I really don't know a lot about the south west weather, but for the first time in months, we have had almost 3 days without rain(guess it's the August break). it rains constantly over here. seeds from companies apart from east west are hard to find here, even though they are a bit pricy. I don't know a bit about Kareem honestly

I will like to use this opportunity to thank a good man that has touched my life and countless more by showing that vegetables can be grown successfully and profitably, from reading the motivating posts by JASPER 7 on cucumber farming on his old posts I was motivated to try it out and the rest is history, last week I was surprised when Jasper 7 reached out to me personally and bought huge quantities of garden eggplant ,red/yellow scorpion seeds from us,I am humbled to have such a selfless man to place such trust in our products,he may not know it but that his old post on cucumber farming changed many life's,oga boss I remove my hat, God will continue to bless our hustle.

after a well detailed investigation about the economics of the grocery trade, the results was a big shock, the crops we think are the money spinners are low on value for money index, take cucumbers for example wholesale farmgate prices for it now is #100 naira/kg=#4,000 for 40kg 1 bag, let's take another example watermelon is being bought wholesale fatmgate at #40-50 naira/kg=#400-500 naira for a 10-12 kg ball,ok,let's consider the humble,no noise making green beans the wholesale farmgate price for it now is #400-500 naira per kg,my investigation found out that it's the lowest price after Xmas,it was sold for #800/kg during the dry season and #400 naira is the lowest it can get, hmmmm !!!,green beans is five times more valuable than cucumbers and ten times more valuable than WM,so that set us thinking HOW HARD CAN IT GET,we tilled half plot today and planted 1800 bean Cora variety (technisem) on it and will plant more in staggered sets every 3 weeks,it will be an interesting head to head drag race between these three fantastic crops in our farm,

Good day Sir Okoroemeka, pls I would like to ask some questions concerning d green beans you planted. I have already gotten the technisem Cora for planting and I desperately need guidance

1)is it advisable to exhaust d whole 1kg on a plot of land?
2)how was d yield gotten from your experiment?
3)did you have to apply fertilizer? When? How?
4) any fungal or insect attack that warranted the use of pesticides? Or did you use pesticides preventively?
5)do I have to stake and what spacing did you use?
And lastly how was d market price when you had to sell. Will be anxiously expecting your reply sir

Does your market accept cu99? It can be planted alone as it has both male and female flowers in abundance

Hello everyone,

I Did my first trial on cucumber farming and I Did my first harvest today glory be to God Almighty it was beyond my expectations.
When I wanted to start farming I googled about Cucumber farming and found this thread then I join nairaland, I read this thread from page 1 to page 92. I was eager to succeed against all odds and today it has started paying.
I planted 50g cu999 even though am in Lagos and people kept saying I won't sell n it's 2.5k or 3k for a bag. But from all I read here cu999 is much easier to cultivate, so I went on against all odds.
I did my first harvest today and got 12 bags and sold all today at 4k per bag. Glory be to Jesus.
I sincerely appreciate all the support I got from everyone one especially Mr Okoro Emeka and ideepaul, I always call Mr Okoro Emeka for assistance and he always came through. Thank u sir for what u do, may God reward u both with Long life in Jesus name Amen.

A plot? or you mean to say an hectare? (Even the later is a great a task to achieve in most tomato farms I have come across. Nevertheless, 10 tonnes could be achieved from an hectare grin )

it is always refreshing to read such an inspiring post, but harvesting 12 bags from 50 grams of seed from a rookie farmer is quite astonishing, take the fact that max crop that can be gotten from 50 grams is roughly 1500 crops,at 100 fruits per bag,we are looking at 1200 fruits which is almost 80% yield,,this is the area that cu 999 beats hands down yield and diease resistance, personally i don't think there's a variety now in the market that can rival cu 999 in yield side by side,i will not be surprised if the production clocks 50 bags before die off ,well done OP,pls apply npk 151515 to each crop,it's well.

Wow! I am so happy for you...4k shocked shocked shocked, the price is marginally better there, and btw did you let the fruits get big or you harvested them when they were like the other market sized fruits

Surely going to beat the 50bags mark... trying cu99 in my state during the rainy season is suicide mission, I would have loved to try it, but the market women generally prefer Saira over here and it's way too expensive as we speak now

Nandini from eastwest seed rival CU999.....Marketing is key in agriculture cos in Portharcourt CU999 is a NO NO during the raining season.....
