You should ask yourself if the local people have the business acumen to run such businesses successfully.
I know some locals who will make sales and proceed to share their profit and capital (unknowingly) to their various girlfriends ; then tommorow that local person will turn around and wonder why their business failed.
That is why those locals knowing their weakness for women and partying mentality will only resort to selling of building materials; though some locals are now being properly tutored and mentored by Igbos to overcome their excesses, while adopting sound financial principles to make their businesses grow.
