Rejecting the new law in the media won't have any effect. The new CAMA is now a law that must be complied with by all afeected parties. If CAN feels that the law violates the fundamental and constitutional right of its members, they should go ahead and challenge the legality of the law in a court of competent jurisdiction. Why is MURIC not protesting? What if this law was introduced during Jonathan regime? How will MURIC react if Jonathan signed a law that gave government the authority to remove the Imams of any mosque?

The fact is that religious inclinations has blocked the rational thinking of most Nigerians.

My honest take is that people should have the freedom to practice their religious beliefs without discrimination or government interference.

Religion is really the "weed"" of the people!

CAN should have fought this before it became a law. they were three hearing, public hearing of the bill before it was passed into law.
The best thing CAN can do now is to take it in a legal way by going to Court. It is already a Law.

Sometimes ago a bill similar to this was passed that G.O of each churches must appoint a new Leader that is not a relation of the G.O of the church, when they are over 70years old. Pst Adeboye obeyed and followed the law then before it was scrapped. Do you know that is was a Christian that presented the bill then?
