seunlayi: Did government does not have the right to control The church of God. Its The Property of God. Someone like you saying this, I really pity you. Wait till they tell you when to sleep with your wife. Then you will know what it really means. You are just talking without your brains thinking. |

djon78:I am not certain what you are even arguing here. Are you trying to say CAMA is God's plan for the government registered businesses called churches(which are not God registered entities) or something? |

Kobojunkie: Who are God's followers and where do they gather to praise and worship Him? It's not my churches sir, it's the church of Christ. Jesus Christ alone started the church. It has nothing to do with business. Whoever is using a church's name to do business is entirely up to the person. You or I are not in a position to judge. Let God alone pass judgement. It shouldn't be because someone does something and you are not happy with the person and then you generalize. Let's stop this nonsense. We have true churches and children of God maintaining their focus on their calling on a daily basis. When you begin to generalize, you pack them in and that's wrong. You don't pull the whole house down because the roof is leaking. You fix the leakage and let the house be. Sadly, in this case, it's not ours to fix it but God who owns it. The church wasn't man's idea but Christ himself. We had churches right from the days of old and the church would stand until the day of Jesus Christ. No one can cut it down through useless laws. It's written that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church and so shall it be. |

/ Government cannot control churches? But government said no services since the corona saga and they obeyed. Who controlled who? Why do churches seek building permit and approval from government before building? Why do churches report to government if crime is committed against them? Why are churches crying up to government to provide security against Boko Haram? They are delusional. Churches are under government. There are no more churches. What they have are business centers where people play betnaija with their salvation. What is the difference between someone who plays betnaija and hope to win vs someone who pays tithe and hope to prosper financially? They are both gamblers who lose while the operators smile to the bank. / 2 Likes 1 Share |

So what's your point then? Are you not thereby agreeing with my assertion that CAN is a useless organisation. What value is an organisation whose members do whatever they like? As much as the West likes freedom, do you know any govt in the West that allows its citizens to do whatever they like? edoairways: |

Kobojunkie: There's no sense in what you've just typed. By the way, did God even ask you to type this? No! So why did you do? You can't answer. Did we have churches in the days of old? Yes! Why don't you want to see the church today? You can't answer. However, the point remains that the Nigeria CAMA Act 2020 against the church won't stand whether you like it or not. Don't be an enemy to the cause of Christ and still parading like you are for Him. Stop this ignorance. It'll only take you to hell. I won't answer you again. |

Re: CAN Rejects CAMA, Says Government Cannot Control Churches by Kobojunkie: 1:28am On Aug 21, 2020 |
samuelson06:See, you are the one trying to insert God into this debate and I am simply trying to tell you that God has nothing to do with this. Jesus Christ has absolutely nothing to do with this, and this cause is not about Him but more about the administering of the finances of the businesses you call churches. Jesus Christ never commanded His people to build churches or cathedrals in His name. There were no church houses in the days of old... church businesses came in after the Christian movement was hijacked by a bunch of disgruntled bishops/elders who wanted to control and gain from the movement and led by the roman church, they have succeeded in turning the business into a lucrative one for over 1700 years. CAMA in Nigeria applies to all religious business entities registered under the government, and since the act has already been signed into law, from my understanding, a subset of the affected businesses have little to no say at this point without getting themselves even deeper into politicking which is what they have always tried to pretend they do not do. If these church businesses want to make their case, then they should come forward with evidence of how this act is in violation of their rights as business entities to freely operate in Nigeria, rather than continuing to pretend that by dragging God's name down in the mud with their nonsense, somehow they will be heard. |
