I hope this is not the case here and you're simply curious by trying to dissect the essence of life and what it entails.

What I can tell you for a fact, is that we were all born to die, no one escapes it. What matters is how we live in the short time we have.

Questioning the purpose of life despite the fact that it's all going to end with everyone getting fed on by worms, doesn't mean we shouldn't live - and by "live" I mean, you do what you can, you do what you must... and my personal favourite, have a lot of fun while at it.

Biologically speaking, the body of every human being is worth the exact same thing once it's dead. It doesn't matter who the person was, what they owned, or who they were.

Idris Elba spoke these lines in a movie, I found it very funny, informative but also funny:
"... The human body is really not worth that much, maybe 11pence worth of magnesium, a couple pence worth of calcium, a bit of iron, not worth much...all in all its probably about a total of 3pounds (in weight) ..."

The above is what every human is worth once bacteria has done its job.
Few people already know this (and can visualize it), but it doesn't stop them from living their lives...and it shouldn't stop you or anyone else either.

Death is very certain and outside our human sphere of influence, BUT how we live and how much fun we have before the worms come to feast, is totally up to us.

A lot of intelligent folks, even men of God have tried to answer this question, but none is ever satisfactory.

All of these things you mentioned could have been done in heaven. You didn't need to be on earth to see God's wonders, or multiply etc.

Abramham had a Purpose.. through Him will the Earth be Blessed..

John the Baptist had a specific Purpose. To prepare the way for Christ..

Every Human being on the face has a Specific Purpose, but unfortunately many come and Die without Knowing talkless of fulfilling it..

Go to God in Prayers and seek Him to Reveal your Purpose to you.

This is the inherent deception of the modern day church. When a product is manufactured, the purpose is clearly stated. It is not up to the product to seek it's purpose.

Dont bother about death because when you die, you wouldn't even know you are dead. God has sqeezed out an insignificant portion of eternity and he called it time. Out of this phenomenon called time, he has also squeezed out another insignificant portion of TIME and given to everyone alive. Live your life for God and love your family every other thing is meaningless.

Just make money, travel all around the world and discover new things ...Live life,enjoy yourself,show love to people around you and don't harbour negativity !

In short, everything is vanity!!! This question is even vanity. Life has no fixed direction. Whether you're Muslim or christian , pagan, or atheist or any humanly name ascribed, the same fate awaits everyone which is death. The fool or wise, young or old like Methuselah once you die your mission or vision become nothing! So OP continue living your life till you die.

GOD ALMIGHTY CREATED MAN TO PROVE HIS WORKS AND FOR HIS COMFORT AS MAN LIVES TO WORSHIP HIM AND DECLARE HIS WORKS AND POWERS.

Earthly Life is madness and vain when there is no clear definition of what it is driving at. It's so true. But when you begin to take feel in the light of it, you will not know how to compare "never existing" and being alive because you will become occupied with the Joy of living. The scriptures speak of the "Light of Life" (that defines, reveals life, unravels its secrecy and darkness, bringing meaning).

My little cent is that thinking or reading is never designed to tell you why you are alive, Doc. They may suggest things to you. You may be tempted to adopt or presume or relegate why to yourself but you are not exactly sure until you hear your name being called and the lines of your eternal life statement is declared to you.. Until an encounter with the Lord God unravels the mystery of your own life to you, it will be to you anything you think it is but never what it Truly is.

For It is not in man to direct his path.
No man will ever come about the truth behind why he himself lives by thinking or reading books in which he may find shared testimonies or principles. Why we live is something beyond our thought range. It is beyond us because we are designed to live in a range that is beyond our now natural selves and abilities.
But the particular details of our personal existence must only be revealed and discovered to us because that information is hidden with God beyond the boundaries of natural consciousness or anything presently known to man or knowable by man's strength alone – For our existence is tied to God (meanwhile, God dwells in the secret. You cannot chance upon Him primarily by the spectrum of thought. He must be sought after and reveal himself to man).
Every man is new and sealed, a divine, supernatural product, addressed by God, to God and for God. Only God can break the seal and release the man to function according to design (or purpose) in His presence, under His direction and Light, wherein is the Light of Life.

Encounter, Intimacy with God is where there is a declaration of details of personality to personality. This is the only way to in-depth true knowledge of oneself as well as if any man must brace himself against all the insanities, unknowingness and meaninglessness of life presented to man from his only possible seeing of it, an outward beholding of it.
