Onyekuru at 22 is at Monaco

VicMo at 22 was battling relegation with Wigan

okay o
At 23, Osaze was at Lille

Does that now mean Onyekuru is better? The Monaco he's yet to score for or hold a place down in yet. This is just like saying cos Solanke is in Liverpool then he is better.

Modified

European champions Chelsea looked at the relegation guy and got him on board

Pls Show me where that has happened for Onyekuru since Monaco?

.i hate this cos it is more an in house drag now...

According to 20 Minutes, Josh Maja has been placed at the top of the transfer window by Bordeaux due to financial crisis. Bordeaux have been heavily hit this period and need funds desperately.
Bordeaux Manager though has vetoed this move as he views Maja has a key player.

Maja will start tonight. Also Samuel Kalu has travelled with the squad.

Moses didn't battle relegation with Wigan at 23 because he was already a Chelsea player at 21. grin

Monaco no battle relegation last season?

The 8 goals in 74matches for Wigan was he playing as a defender

How come Victor Moses was nominated twice for African footballer of year, BBC footballer of the year and goal player of the year if he was tested and failed?

He was nominated twice and made the shortlist only once and because he won the Premier League playing as a wing back not because he played as a Winger

oga that was 2013 and you forgot to admit the fact that we re in 2020 and also Vic MO is not as good as he was

At a time players like Zidane, Ronaldo lima, Figo, Beckham, del pierro, Totti etc all retired from their various national team allowing younger players to carry on from where they left. Even when our own Jay Jay retired we still moved on so I see no reason we should be clamouring for the return of Moses and Ighalo when we are blessed with talented young players in top leagues in Europe doing decently well.

I am a big fan of Moses and felt bad when he retired unexpectedly but sentiment aside he is not better than what we boast of in the flanks recently. I will never pick Moses ahead of chukwueze, Simon or even kalu based on current form and stat. It doesn't make sense recalling a player who is not even at his best and almost clocking 30 when we have younger players in their early 20s who re performing far better

Please, did you watch Vicmo at Fenerbache and inter Milan?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by chrisooblog: 12:34pm On Aug 21, 2020
lol same Vicmo that was on the pitch when egypt eliminated Nigeria in the 2017 AFCON qualifier.

easy on the hero worship on moses. i respect and thank him for his services but let's not overhype his contributions.

fabyom:
The disrespect to VICMO is quite astonishing on this platform.
Giving some folks praise mediocre players like Nwakali, Iheanacho, Iwobi to high heaven on this same platform. Wow!

At Afcon 2013, we were absolutely abysmal in our first two games which we drew.
Our last game against Ethiopia was a must-win but again we were shambolic until Vicmo came into the game after overcoming the injury that sidelined him from the first 2 matches and took the game by the scruff of the neck causing and scoring two penalties to win the game for us.

Without VICMO's contribution, we would have been out in the first round.Against Ivory Coast, we were camped in our half until VICMO took the game to the Ivorians cutting in from the left and unleashing a ferocious shot that Bari managed to save. He kept marauding the Ivorians defense thereby boosting the confidence of the other players.

Against Mali, what more can I say? A career-ending superb dribbling to set up Echiejele for the first goal. He was the Malians tormentor in Chief. In the final, it was his movement, dribbling, and shot that led to Mba's goal that won us the cup. Put respect on VICMO. He also single-handedly took us to the 2018 world cup. Against Algeria and Cameroon, he was unplayable. Our single win against Iceland started with that sumptuous pass from VICMO to Ahmed Musa.

Give a fucking respect to the legend, VICMO!
With VICMO we would have won the last Cup of Nations.

Let talents prove their mettle in the NT then we can call it case closed.

Osaze equally proved himself and none of these current talents till further notice, come close.

The fact is LET them be tested!!!!

Only Nacho, Iwobi so far has been tested enough.

Till then Talents remains Talent!!

Many history abound to prove that.

They both may be finished to us, but a Coach might just disagree with our talk by including them. They are definitely not extra luggage, as far as SE is concerned.

These players are retired!

These players are retired!!

These players are fučking retired!!!

Nobody forced them into retirement it was a decision taken of their volition.

What were the stats of both players before joining the NT?

Some of us have readily moved on from "what could have been" to "what we can do now". Do yourself a favor by jumping on that train else you'd remain in perpetual insolvency.

Those people clamoring for Moses return to the NT have probably not been watching the man at Inter. Dude is washed up, all I see is just another full-back in him nothing special.
