No, Messi isn't a god - he's THE god. ...of football.

You ungrateful thing! The universe and fate scheduled and placed your fleeting existential mortality at a time to witness a supernatural being humble himself to adorn a jersey and jug football with you humans to show you a glimpse of perfection without the impedance of your flawed humanity and all you do is slander him?
You are unworthy! Ungrateful unworthy mortal!

Only you can take that away from what I typed.

My point is whoever is buying Messi is doing so for the marketing. Sporting wise, it may or may not work out, but that wouldn't matter because they're getting the bag.

It's different from every other player not named Ronaldo, who are assessed first by their sporting contribution and any other thing is an add-on.

Ergo, making a big fuss about big clubs jostling for Messi's signature says nothing about how they judge his sporting ability. Just that his addition is a net positive from a commercial point of view.

As for my opinion on if he's currently good enough for any of the top teams, you don't want to hear it.

-Lord
Totally wrong.

A lot of teams would want Messi for the marketing advantage and for his footballing ability as the best footballer in the world.

The only snag would be his age. At 33, which would mean the club paying so much only for a 2 or 3 year service.

Age is part of the sporting reason which was why I agreed with you.

Even at 33, he is still better than everybody else.

So the only snag is that longevity is no longer an advantage he has.

Let it be known that Eibarman is the worst Goat in history.

You can't sign off with a UCL, league or Cup win, okay sign off with a routine win game, no but you went with a shambolic performance being the worst player on the picth in an 8-2 annihilation.

You signed off handling a transfer request, dragging your club to court to enable them record loss, making the club president to resign and letting the fans run mad in the streets of Camp Nou and disjointed on social media platform.

Only one Argentine Snodgrass could do that

I b tok am here say all this 13 yr old virgins dey mislead am, dem fil say I jor open mouth.

Club legend, club legend, you dey hand transfer request to leave for free. Are you not mental?

Over the last 4 years, he has dropped places in everyone who isn't a Messi stan's GOAT list, me inclusive.

Core Barca fans are finally seeing what Argentines and CR7 fans have been saying forever. When the going gets tough, Messi is that last person you want in your corner. System fraud!

Damn!

One would be forgiven to think that you've met Messi before and you guys have a beef going on or something.

Such a shameless rat.

That's how he announced retirement after loosing the Copa America final to Chile.

Now the club that made you are in shambles and all you had to do was to add more fuel to the fire by handling in transfer request.

Battered fraud

Scoring 21 goals last season ain’t no fluke considering the fact that he has been made to share minutes on the pitch with aguero, which might have not really helped him.

I still feel he has a lot to offer, and at 23, coming to a team where he will be the main striker, he should be able to prove his worth

My major happiness in all of this is Bartomeu's decision to resign.

It's fake news. He hasn't resigned. No emergency meeting held even. And he's not considering resignation yet

2.2million tweets after the story of Messi transfer request. If this is not enough to pressure Bartomeu, i don't know what else will budge the guy.

It's actually the best team asides PSG.

Whichever of the two clubs he goes to, will be lucky and will dominate football without mercy.

Besides David Silva has left. I want to see Messi and KDB, Sterling and Bernado. Jesus! (not Gabriel)

Or Messi, Neymar, Di Maria, Mbappe and Icardi.

Messi leaving to either clubs will cause a great unbalance in football.

Whatever you say.

I'm sure PSG, Man City, Juve and co are lining up because they were inspired by an 8:2 hammering with Messi strolling about and handing in a free transfer request afterwards.

Messi's footballing ability is an afterthought. He's only done it at Barca and that was with a very specific personnel. In Argentina, he has underwhelmed.

Juve has a worse midfield than Barca.
Man City does not have a defense.
PSG apart from this year, which required a ton of luck, have been serial bottlers, so Barca 2.0.
Manchester United needed a certain Bruno Fernandes to start looking like they could compete.
Messi will not be able to produce the energy for Flick's Bayern. He can not replicate Muller's dirty work and that's the only place he can fit in that squad.
Inter are a work in progress.

So if any of these teams are looking at Messi and thinking, "You know what, this guy would fix our respective sporting issues"; their entire sporting directorate should be disbanded.

But they are not thinking that way, because they don't like in Messi's backside. They're looking at the numbers from the marketing coup that'd be a Messi buy and saying, "With numbers like that, who gives a f*ck about sporting reasons." I understand why you can't accept that. You've had an entire city, club, fan base, and journos suck up to you forever; it's about to get real.

Or you think Messi would supervise a 4:0 thrashing against Manchester United and Cityzens wouldn't send shots at him? E go shock una. Pack your load and make sure you burn the bridge with the only club that can tolerate you wussies. Messi fans are the most deluded and overpampered sporting personality fan base in the world.

the truth is always bitter, real Madrid had to bring back a world class coach to steady the ship after lopetegui almost sent Madrid to mediocrity, do you think koeman that was sacked by Southampton and Everton can save this sinking ship ?

Not surprised you think that way.

If Messi joins Bayern and they lose a UCL KO in a humiliation, you think fan pages would be saying Messi deserves better?

They'll cast him the same way they casted Pep. It's why CR7 stans have been imploring him to leave, let his stock plummet below zero.

You drop a distasterclass 5 consecutive times and you get mind dey troll the club that pays you more than any other player in world football; una never jam fan base wen their head dey touch...

You? Messi slander? It's fitting that you are a Ronaldo fanboy.
Only Ronaldo keeps yelling, "I am the best. I am great. Nobody does it like me" as it stems from deep-rooted insecurity, watered by the voyéurism of seeing other more gifted and tactful players get all the adulation and adoration even without actively craving the spotlight.

It's why you need to sign off every comment of yours with "-Lord" 'cause you need to keep reiterating the falsity to yourself like an LSD junkiè topping up on the drug before any withdrawal symptom becomes obvious.

Of course you are a Penaldo fan through and through - members of the Gangsterhood of Insecured Voyeûrs. smiley

Nah.

Those man city players have got big egos.

The independence in team dependence is crazy. You'll see sterling trying to take on defences and score. KDB will shoot, cross, float balls. Mahrez and bernado with trickery and R2s.

That team ain't barca rn.
How they lost to lyon baffles me. I really wanted to see them face Bayern defense.

Anyway, reports have it that Messi is going to man city
