I have never moderated a thread so strictly since i become a mod about 8yrs ago. I banned a very single person derailing this thread, i hid so many posts even when Danielhouston replied rudely.

I locked this thread when the heat is too much and reopened it when he was ready to continue, i have never done this before.

He threatened to leave if i don't ban those attacking him and i did that, after few days he came back with the same bitterness rather than continuing his thread then he deactivated his account.

So my question to many of you is..what a hell do you people want me to do for King Danielhouston?

Are you people honestly suggesting that nobody has the right to disagree with him?

More than 99% of people here support him and openly compliment his work here but still he got worked up by just one percent of people who did not share his opinion, even when i ban those people and remove their posts still its not enough.

If you are intolerant to alternative view then public forum is not for you.

I don't really think one can justfiably describe the moderator as being biased. Rather than actually pandering to the OP's views, the MOD was considering the greater-good of the quality of the information being passed to the generality of the readers. I believe he was guaging the pulse of the readers and decided to let the OP off on several occasions so that people might benefit.

Honestly, I wished Danielhouston could have allowed some dissenting views to ride, and ignore them. Since he chose to debate a few of those views, he should have just allowed some comments that weren't going well to just fizzle out, while he continues his narrations.

Well, there is no need to delete the thread. The information provided will continue to make a good reference materials for interested folks. 5-10 years down the line, a more mature Danielhouston may well check up this thread again, and laugh out loud at himself for taking life and criticisms so seriously! Other commentators will probably appraise themselves the same way about any unwholesome comments they made on this forum in some years to come.

Some of us now at near middle age or older, do clearly recognise the immaturities displayed by our younger selves and laugh ourselves silly. It's all part of growing up!

Overall, let's us all learn to use non-offensive words and expressions, while engaging with others with differing points of views. A fair degree of tolerance by all would be most welcome!

This was an excellent thread and it is inevitable that it will get invaded by a few trolls. It's a good thing the OP has deactivated. The last few posts he made seems to suggest that he is mentally vulnerable. It's better he deactivated before his mental health is worsened by what goes on in a faceless forum like Nairaland.
