In d end, u haven't really said anything. But let me ask, of what consequence is d NNBA? Can it certify lawyers to practice law in Nigeria?

Well, if you want to ban el rufai for being a bad governor, while not banning wike of rivers , or even president Buhari (who was represented by the vice president) , that shows inconsistency.

Either NBA stands for good governance or not.

Their selective ban made them look anti northern when they really aren't.

To think that the northern lawyers passed through the same school as others.
Educating people from that part is like pouring water on a rock. They would always go back to factory settings.

Imagine, to them Southerns will always dance to their tone. No, you want to be on your own, I think is very much welcomed. This is the very first time am seeing the South call apade by it's name. They probably think the South will continue to shake like gelly, no, nowoo. Imagine young man that started this. The division of Nigeria is now thrown opened stylishly by the North, South, the ball is now in your court.

You should just welcome the division and carry on with you Southern Nigeria And Christian Bar Association ( SNCBA).
Unless you are also myopic. You may even have your Southern Nigeria Republic sooner than you expect.

I guess that is the ultimate objective of all the hate and all the hostility and venom of the South, isn’t it?
I say this with every concern.

A northern Nigeria nation would be a human disaster of epic proportions.

If your leaders had any sense, you wouldn't be dividing the polity like this.

It does not favour the future of Northern Nigeria in any way.

Bigoted leaders like El rufai should be ostracized, if you value southern attachment to the North and hence the future progress of northern Nigeria.

Always pretending not to see what is happening, who is destroying the Association if not the Southerner bigots?

Northerners are used to your hateful bashing. You can call them backward thinking or whatever but they will not accept a mediocre organization led by hatered and double standards.
Seriously if u guys want to form your own association form it on your own. Since it's a northern association be rest assured that practice would be limited to the north.

Have your own law school in the north, for u to practice in the South u must be accredited in the South.

It's a 2 way thing and everybody wins.

Nnba for north and nba for South.

You would end up dividing every African country if we follow your logic.

Plus, how would you divide Nigeria?
has any heterogeneous African country been anything near successful? Break up this shithole into smaller units and watch some regions progress speedily.

It was on twitter I saw over 99% of educated northern youths in support of beheading a man for blasphemy.

They threatened to also deal with one northern lady for trying to teach them some common sense.

If the educated class of the north are hovering with the mental capacity of an 80th century Islamic war Lord in turkey, there is nothing to be optimistic about their peculiar futures as a people.

Another clear example to tell you that the northerners are always in a "REVERSE MODE"

They see Akpata as a threat to their "Shari'a" type of law.

It would be difficult for us to move forward as a nation when we have this backward thinking people at the helms of affair.

As far as the North is concern, One Nigeria is only possible as long as the North is in a favourable positions.

So how many countries would you divide Nigeria into?

If homogeneity is your criteria, you could end up with over 200 countries from Nigeria.

Biafra is just as much as a contraption as Nigeria ,. assuming Nnamdi Kanu vision for Biafra happens. Even the oodua Republic is somewhat a contraption. And Northern Nigeria looks culturally unified, but is really superdiverse.

The reason why African countries don't do well is because most of them, on independence, ran on the idea of selling raw materials and sharing the money. That's not how successful countries are run. Add the problem that we don't control the prices of what we sell, and that's why we get perpetually broke and are always taking loans (which did not start under this admin).

You want development? Stop sharing the national cake. Start using your raw materials to develop products for the global market. Cut subsides, raise taxes, attract investors, and see your country grow in ten years. Homogeneity or heterogeneity.

South Africa is more developed than Nigeria. Yes, because of the whites, who are divided into two tribes ...English and Afrikaans, who have always not necessarily gotten along well, even under arphateid

Let them form a new group.
Slowly, associations and groups in Nigeria will restructure and perhaps, Nigeria would eventually.

I saw it too. The annoying thing is that they are not even giving the accused a chance to fair hearing.

The song see Mary see Jesus was resisted in the South for long before it became acceptable because alot of Southerners saw it as blasphemy but did we ask for olamides head?

The major reason why Southerners no even carry d guy matter for head is that he is from the north too, so na Dem dem

In southern perspective, it is good bye, and good luck.

In Northern perspective, it is suicide.

The enchroaching Sahara desert and the lake Chad instability all the way to libya should be enough to make them contemplate their future.

But alas, it hasn't.

I can bet if this country is split into 4 units some regions will in no much time attain a certain level of success. That aside, the real problem of Africa is simply that the average African man is an unintelligent species (hard to swallow pill)

As I said upthread, it's an overreaction to a simple problem.

Having said that, NBA can do much better. Yes, NBA did not ban elrufai because they hate the North (and many of the people behind the petition were Northerners even) , but the anger suggests that there is a big bigotry problem that predates this issue.

There is a lot of hate and bigotry among southerners towards the North. That bigotry does have its roots too in anti southern bigotry in the North as well. The problem is, neither side is willing to accept they have a bigotry problem.

And that, to me , is the issue here.. splitting the NBA or the country is running away from the problem. We have to face this demon of bigotry before it overwhelms us, whether we remain as one or we split

The problem is, each of the 4 units won't be the homogeneous units you ask for.You wanted homogeneous nations, you get 4 contraptions made up of different tribes and religions still

Plus, they would be all poor in a decade. Because Nigerians see development as their government selling oil or groundnut, or cocoa, or palm oils, or even maize, and sharing the money which is used to import stuff, or build nice things. And I bet there will be a war over the resources in minutes.

And prices of goods and services will.shoot up because no more free movement of foodstuff and so on. Because borders means customs means taxes (and the South depends heavily on.food from the North plus imports.)
