favor914: I don't like that "he is one of us" statement. That shouldn't be the reason for those who want to breakaway not to break away. It must be for a greater reason. Not on the basis of "he is one of us or he is not one of us". And this is an elderly man. Gosh! |

Farki: There you go again and you are wrong again. You cannot pass a bill to execute someone just because of their religion. You can only do something to them only if their actions affect you or someone else as in if Muslim attacks you or someone else physically or verbally then you can execute them other than that you cannot execute them just based on their faith alone. The Nigerian constitution gives everyone freedom of religion but not the freedom to attack anybody's religion or beliefs physically or verbally. |

kayjay69: I am not surprised at the level of chaos and disorder in Nigeria. This can only happen to people who have lost their sense of self, the very basis of their existence. The dearth of our traditional norms in the face of colonialism and modern day religions has got Nigerians to this point. Christianity or Islam is not strong enough to contain the excesses and weaknesses of our people. 1 Like |

Lukay99: If I can not pass a bill to execute someone because of their religion then why is sharia in place at all since the punishment for apostasy, blasphemy or polytheism (idolatry) is death? Why are you even giving me the terms of who I can and can not execute in my state? If I see Islam as a personal attack am I not free to kill any Muslim I see just like Muslims in Kano are calling for the death of the "blasphemous" singer? The Nigerian constitution gives us freedom of religion, until a Muslim gets offended and invokes sharia law. To go even further the Nigerian constitution gives Muslims the special privilege to attack the religious beliefs (or disbelief) of others through sharia courts. |

The SW lawyers want to do to Akpata, what Awo did to Zik. Zik won the election in the west and was set to become premier. Overnight all the Yoruba members of the NCNC defected to Awo's action group. The SW are the most tribal people in Nigeria. The North and SS should form an alliance and be done with these SW bigots Just look at what you typed. If you're intelligent enough you'll know there was no sense in what ZIK wanted to do. Was there no slot for a premier in the East at that time. ZIK first secured his own home with "his brother" and came to the west to contest premiership against a westerner as if there were no capable hands than him in the west. How many Yorubas contested to be premier in the Eastern region at the time, would you have voted a Yoruba man as the premier in the Easter region? Think. 1 Like |
