eightyeight: We can't truly say if this document is real or doctored. It wasn't the applicant that posted it but a third party. I would take that with a pinch of salt. Apart from that, it is very possible that the applicant may have misrepresented facts, failed medicals or criminality checks. It is even possible that the applicant submitted fake documents or there have been changes to his eligibility based on one factor or another. I really doubt if IRCC will give an AIP and finally deny an application for the type of reasons I see here (these reasons should have been enough for a stage one refusal to begin with). It just doesn't add up. This is my opinion on this. Everyone should calm down. 8 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by fratermathy(m): 3:50pm On Aug 31, 2020 |
Gunbi: It's not compulsory. You can add it if you want but most people get their permits without it. 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Lekiboboe: 4:02pm On Aug 31, 2020 |
Gunbi:With this new strategy by IRCC on AIP which is the first stage approval, one of the requirement for the Second Stage approval (final approval) is Police Clearance Certificate, which makes it compulsory. Do refer to the post in the link below, This is based on experience of a member of this forum who is not in Lagos but was able to do her Police Clearance Certificate without travelling down to Lagos https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/143#91581107 |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by fratermathy(m): 4:30pm On Aug 31, 2020 |
Lekiboboe: It is NOT compulsory, even with the 2 stage approval process. They only added it there for those it is applicable to. Police clearance is not needed for Nigerian temporary resident visa applicants. Those who do it simply do so in the Nigerian tradition of "make I do everything so that dem nor go delay my application". VOs won't demand for it. 2 Likes |

Absolutly no! Don't send a new bank statement. If the VO needs any additional document, they will ask for it. Don't complicate things for yourself. Eilenora: |

Ckechi: Hello Ckechi, Thus far, I haven't seen PPR for applicants before July. However, I can confirm of refusals. Applicant A applied in Nigeria Applied: July 25th, 2020 Background Check: July 25th, 2020 Eligibility Review: Failed on August 4th, 2020 Refusal Letter: August 31st, 2020 Applicant B applied in Ukraine Applied: August 25th, 2020 Background Check and ER: Started almost immediately Refusal letter: August 28th, 2020 I think most people have received a final decision but are yet to communicate it out openly. Also, IRCC are taking their time to communicate their final decision as well. All the best |

Na wa.. Are these people first time applicants? Btw, if someone has previously been refused a visit visa before and is applying for study now, will it be termed re-application? How is it defined? JustMellow: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by JustMellow: 6:08pm On Aug 31, 2020 |
mrkingz: Hello Mrkingz, Since the funds is coming from your sponsor, an LOE from your sponsor and you to the effect will suffice. Your personal savings account would have been more suitable for your visa application. However, if you're not in hurry to apply, you can leave it there for the meanwhile. All the best 1 Like |

Pee2Jay9: Hello Pee2Jay9, That of the Applicant A is a reapplication, not sure of the B. In as much as a Visit visa is also a TRV, it won't be termed reapplication if applying for a SP after been refused. The SP and VV are different visa type but same category of a Temporary Visa. Though I feel concerned but I have decided to go for the fall online session whether visa is granted or not am so tired of always popping up to check updates, cos I don't know their plan again Applied 15th July Biometric request on 16th July Biometrics updated 25th August Fall Session starting sept 12 If visa isn't granted now, I would fully and squarely focus online and after my master's I would apply for permanent residency under skilled work programme, it's dat time they would have no option. My only fear is if there would be option for students that are denied to have other semester as online even after the covid19. Let me go and check Australia or Netherlands self.... Canada dis Canada Dat..... They are not the only country better than this shit hole called Nigeria 4 Likes |
