rockyh:Noo ,I think you are wrong there, I believe the reason the matter may end in court. Fifa has already expanded the transfer window from June because of convid19. So many players contract expired in june 2020 but because of covid-19 they have t continue playing beyond june because of the clause Fifa introduced in may to tackle the transfer logjam. If Barcelona claims the the agreement has expired in june as the claim, then how on earth they play some players whose contract expired by june when the league and champions league were expected to have ended .So if Barcelona win the case in court, that means most leagues that complete their season after convid19 with a player that his contract expires in june transfer window will have the league title revoked for fielding an ineligible players. And for the 700 million euros, taaa, which club can pay such a huge sum of money for a 33 year old?Not man city ,not Man utd, not PSG, how much is there profit after tax 2019/2020 ? couple with the ripple of covid-19 effect,if they do they will have to open there book to Fifa FFP.The only league that can do the crazy move is the Chinese league, those one get money like sand and the can spend it on messi . 4 Likes |

OKOATA: No one is forcing anybody. He has a contract in place; the honourable thing to do is see it to the end or fulfill the clause for early termination. Did Messi give Barcelona trophies? How? No club is about one man. It was a business relationship between them with mutual benefits. I think we are just letting sentiments and our emotions get the better of us over this issue. 2 Likes |

DirtyGold: There is a claim to wait for the end of season out of respect or agreement based on delays in the league due to the pandemic. This is very normal for sm1 of Messi’s status. If the club can not honor that they don’t deserve his loyalty and understanding either. Not everyone will activate their clauses b4 June definitely unless preplanned for sm obvious reason. Messi reserves the right to leave based on the league extention. |

jaxxy:I'm a Messi fan o... I think he is phenomenal on the ball and all that but on this issue, he is playing it wrong! Who anticipated a pandemic? Was is Barcelona that extended the league? Has his wages not been paid all these while up till this moment? He is free to leave at the end of June whether the league has finished or not but cannot leave now in August - for free. It is what is contained in the contract that counts... not feelings. What's tha business? 1 Like 1 Share |

DirtyGold: He is free to leave in june is a joke. His contract is seasonal so he can’t leave. Was it also Messi who caused the pandemic or extended the league? Why shud he carry the brunt and not the club? It’s either a gentleman’s agreement is met based on both party agreeing or he walks via other means available. It is absolutely wrong for the club to activate a new contract clause without his consultation or agreement b4 end of season considering the pandemic also. It’s wrong |

jaxxy:Joke or no joke, the club has said the clause should have been activated in June... that's what was signed in the contract. And no, there's no new contract anywhere, it is the same one that's still running. Laliga also supports the club so, you can choose to escort him to the fifa court of arbitration if you're so inclined and passionate about the matter What's tha business? 1 Like |

DirtyGold: The club wants to make it dirty that’s their business. Messi shudnt be forced to stay. He’s not leaving mid season bt at the end of last season. Either ways they will sort it out. 1 Like |

jaxxy:No matter how messy it will get, there's no way in this world that he will walk away free while his contract is still running. Do you have the slightest idea of what €700million can do for a team? I'm sure Barcelona won't mind not winning anything for the next three years after receiving that amount of money. No matter your passion, keep it in mind that professional football is still show-BUSINESS! What's tha business? 1 Like |

DirtyGold: Who is will pay them €700m? Only a fool will. Let them go to court or FIFA. If Messi wanted to leave mid season they will cry foul, he stayed till end of season they bring up issues. He will not walk free bt he definitely won’t be paying no €700m. And he will walk. It’s obvious his loyalty this far means nothing to them. 1 Like |

Re: Lionel Messi Considers His Barcelona Contract Over, Didn't Report For Training by DirtyGold: 7:45pm On Aug 31, 2020 |
jaxxy:He would have made the request in June and not necessarily leave at that time when the season was still on. Ofcourse he will walk... after his contract expires by next year! I'm also sure there are other clauses that would have made it impossible for him to walk free even if he did make the request in June sef... it is him that'll have to go to court to request his freedom. No club will be foolish enough to sign him while he still has a contract running. What's tha business? 1 Like |

The way some people make comment concerning this Barca-Messi issue baffles me alot. Messing has a contract to honor which will make him free next summer then if he feels he can't wait there's a clause which says any club that Want him should pay 700m, his next club should be able to do that and if not Barca can sue him. People that are not advising him well are his father and agent then his lawyers. As it stands Barca will free him and give him a beffiting exit next year but with these issues his career which he has built over the years can be destroyed, he would have made his exit known in June not September. 1 Like |

jaxxy:And his career will die a natural unfortunate death as well No player is bigger than the club/league that has been paying him for years If he is brave and believes he is right, let him travel to Manchester for medicals let us see.
