DirtyGold: Messi career can’t end badly either it’s all planned out by his new club. On the other hand barca will struggle for sm years b4 ever being near thesame. That is the description of fade. |

jaxxy:His career can end terribly and he knows it too well! A club that has been existing since 1899 will fade because one messi left? Was Barca not doing good before Guardiola modified the team to make messi what he is today? Xavi and Iniesta literally played for messi. They made old and new players flow their game towards messi With messi on the team, what did they win this past season? They might struggle for one season, but they will surely bounce back in the next whether messi leaves or retire at the club. What's tha business? 1 Like |

They should sell him already you guys don’t know this South Americans there are just like African players( money grabler) all those money that suppose to go to Barca Fc as club, Messi and it’s father will demand it has personal signing fee before signing for any club just like Neymar....Barca has nothing to lose there should demand for money. And should be nothing short of world record signing fee... 1 Like |

DirtyGold: You are missing the main point and the most important thing in this argument. There's is a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for free at the end of every season. Now Barca are saying that clause should have been activated in June cos that's when seasons normally end. But Messi and his team are saying the season ended in August, which is technically right. This previous season was extended and it ended in August. The case will be settled in court, and it Will be a very easy case. Depending on what's in the Contract, if it's "June" or "end of the season" Of course La liga are throwing their weight behind Barca cos if he leaves, the league will be more or less like the eredivise. |

The clause was that he has to inform the club 10 days before the end of a season which he didn't if we look at it from the angle of extension because champion league ended before he invoked the clause which automatically makes that clause invalid.man city is trying to please both parties involved that why they are negotiating with Barca else they would have announced him as their player since they have had a personal agreement with messi. Personally I feel its messi's pride and authoritative attitude on coaches that made him ask for transfer because he has seen someone who is not on the same page as previous coaches including stating categoricallythat Luis has no place in his team not even as a substitute else he is going to stay Alary: 1 Like |

Messi leaving is not the issue here but the business side of Spanish league is part of the big issue. The money, the TV rights pricing, Barcelona FC shares, match tickets and many more. For me messi agent( his dad) messed things up for him, u don't have to be loyal in football, see urself as a machine that need to perform when called upon. Also Know the implication of every statement in any legal document u sign. Why will messi sign a contract with that huge amount as release pay off clause (no good agent will allow that). Any good proactive agent will activate ur free transfer clause every June because u don't have to be 100% loyal to a club. Any club interested in Messi can negotiate the clause price( to pay some in cash and rest with 4 player), but seriously no club in the world with present Covid 19 economic impact will let go £700 million bond. And any club paying that huge amount for messi should sack the coach if he draws any match. All the season match should be a win with not less than 2 goals margin. Wish GOAT Messi the best in his mission impossible. LOL 2 Likes |

Not easy keeping an unhappy player in the team. Barca should sell him to Man City for 90m pounds. They should start the rebuilding process. |

Thank you if Barca failed in paying him that huge weekly package he would have sparked thunder and brimstone so it's a 2 way stuff enjoy the big money and when the consequences of big pay raises bear in mind that its going to be serious Ijaya123: 1 Like |

jaxxy: The question here is, why dint he activate it in June as stipulated in the contract... he only made this decision because of the 8.2 drubbing in the hands of bayern and thst is selfish of him... players announce that they will leave even b4 the season is over...y dint he announce it in June... ronaldos wasnt messy cos he activated it as stipulated in his contract...u cant just wake up and say u are off...even inbsnks and offices , u must announce 3 months b4 leaving... that messi guy has a wicked heart ... if not for barca he wudnt b who he is today ... the ronaldo u guys curse every minute has never had a messy contract...even at united when he wanted to leave ...united dint agree , he had to play 3 more seasons and won then the CL b4 they let him go |

Beverlyjean: Did corona virus affect Ronaldo or the season when he wanted to leave? Players like Ronaldo and Messi only leaves end of season. If corona affected it then it must be acknowledged. It cud have been same scenario with Ronaldo or top player. And yes Ronaldo still had a dirty experience leaving Madrid. 3 Likes |

I feel Messi acted on impulse after the major loss to Bayern Munich and decided to leave Barcelona so soon. He should have calm down and thought deeply about it, he should have even spoken privately with a lawyer on the different possibilities before he came public about leaving the club. Now, he is at this stage and cannot withdraw because of the whole publicity attached to it. Whatever the case, I wish him all the best! |
