Hmmm. These Canada peeps sef na wah o. I was even feeling bad with myself that I deferred my admission just before I got AIP. Abeg better safe than sorry. After paying millions for online study in Nigeria without data and light they will still come and deny visa. These people are tricky and cannot be trusted! Frankrobbn1: 1 Like |

I posted this earlier and just need to specify some details MBA at TRU... tuition for first year is around 8k CAD while 2nd year is 22k CAD... Will having an account balance of the 1st year 8k and that of my upkeep for 1year be enough to get visa? Because my account balance presently doesn't contain amount to cover everything for the 2years. Although paying for the 2nd year will eventually pose no problem to me but I just don't have it in my account presently 2ndly... is canada allowing students with study visa land presently? Thanks guys |

The bolded don't make sense. Of course, you don't know what you're saying. Yes, you're right AIP does not guarantee SP. IRCC made that clear. But that IRCC is tricking students to pay tuition and save the economy? who told you that nonsense. Frankrobbn1: 7 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by oma22: 6:16am On Sep 01, 2020 |
dommakavelli: So why can’t IRCC do that? Because they are God abi wetin? Our slave man mentality is too much, the way we see white folks as perfect or they can do no wrong. The way some people will say “IRCC cannot do this” or “how can IRCC do that” like say they be God. If the same where to be said about Nigeria you all will believe. Frank is right! They dangle this AIP in our faces so people can go ahead and start school and yet put the clause that “they will let you know of the final decision(approval or denial), infact some people are getting AIP in 3 days! 3 days oo!! All of a suden Canada that takes 4months to process visa on a normal day dey give approval under 3 days this period they are understaffed. I hate to be the bearer of bad news here but e go shock a lot of people. Wait till you get your full approval! Defer your studies, don’t take the bait! Frank is right! This is a bait! Canada makes a lot of money from international students and they are not above baiting people to pay fees to improve economy. The way u people think this people can do no wrong is funny. You better believe it, this is a bait! We all dey here, let’s watch and see. 16 Likes |

dommakavelli: People rationalise too much. No one is a VO here and people shouldn't cast their gloom upon others. Many are content with starting their programs with an AIP. Others will defer. We don't have to make the AIP a subject of too much debate. Some have it, many others do not. One thing is certain in this: the fastest way for any country to improve her economy is to open her borders. Canada has not done that yet. It is also clear that with or without the AIP, students are deferring and IRCC is aware of this. Nobody is baiting anyone. They are doing what they can. Applicants should also do what they want. Personally, I'll advise anyone who has the AIP to start online (especially those in programs that will be completed in 2 or more years). Covid-19 won't go away by next year. Some of these restrictions or hybrid instruction models will still be there. No one can divine what the future will be. Many may choose the negative side of things for one reason or another but I'd rather err on the positive side of things. We are not in normal times. Any progress should be accepted. To all those starting their programs online as from today, I wish you good luck in everything. Many of us across the world will do same because we know the value of education. May the odds be in your favour! 10 Likes |

Zikstar4me:Just present substantiated facts that at the end of your studies, you will not remain in Canada illegally but that you will return to your home country when required to do so. E.g including documents that show that you have had a stable, permanent job, preferably with the same employer for a minimum of one year; pay stubs. If you are self-employed, you should show copies of your business registration or incorporation, proof of contracts or projects, tax returns, details of your business structure, and a clear indication of who will be responsible for your business in your absence. Other proof could be a copy of any monetary bonds that you may have to the government, scholarship funders, a signed contract or letter stating your obligation to return. Proof of assets such as registered land title, maybe a major equipment, and vehicles. All the bestest Sir/Ma’ |

fratermathy: Thank you. I am starting online too. First class is tomorrow sef. 9pm-11pm. I have subscribed 10gb plans on MTN and GLO. I'm on 4G. I have a laptop with 5 hours+ battery and I can always use the generator if NEPA fails. My phone battery also lasts just in case. My major issue is with the books I may need but my university has a great online library and I can access whatever I need easily. I am not really afraid for my AIP because I got a medical request too. I just want to do my program and focus on it. I'm going to Canada to study first. Everything is not about PR or PGWP. Yes, I want those too but I want the education more, whether online or not. But not everyone can afford online classes though. I sympathize with those who have to defer because they cannot afford online lectures or cope with it. All of us will get our TRV soon. Have some faith. 16 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Fgmp12: 8:10am On Sep 01, 2020 |
fratermathy:I personally think it raises highbrows when you get AIP and the VO knows your course can be done online and then you defer because the border are closed and you can’t fly down there. As quoted by someone on the Canada Forum “I know students paid the money to study from with-in Canada instead of online, but by deferring after receiving AIP kind of put the intent in doubt that the student just want to get in to Canada for PR instead of genuinely studying for the course that was suppose to start in Fall 2020. AIP was based on the application that was for Fall 2020 and the evidences provided in application was to support for that only. Now the LOA has changed, it could be a different program, different university, different financial requirements which could render original decision useless. My assumptions might be wrong tho. 3 Likes |

@Fgmp12. You may be right as we are all trying to be safe and not to loose huge sum. Categorically IRCC stated that having AIP is not subject to Visa approval (either approved or refused) and it later quote that applicant MAY commence class online. If IRCC can't reason with applicants that paid to study in a class then I am sure they wouldn't force them to study online (with additional sum incurred, lack of concentration, inconsistencies, mental state, time zone differences, etc) Looking at both phrase as tricky as it could be then I see where doubts comes in but nevertheless application would still have to be scrutinized even with AIP or not. It's a choice to proceed online or wait for full Visa so far admission is still intact. Let's hope for the best from the lots of stories, guessing, speculations and beliefs. Just a thought Fgmp12: |

dommakavelli:Some people won’t listen. Business comes first. Do you know how much would be deducted by the schools before refunds if you are rejected? Some schools are saying they won’t even refund after a specific date. Does he know what $20k means? Don’t worship the white man please. I love your point. 1 Like |

dommakavelli: With all due respect Sir, my suggestions are not balderdash and my write-up was never published so it will make sense to you. You're entitled to your opinion and I'm not compelling anyone to believe. I don't know you guys view of Canada and why you can't read between the lines. Do you know that Canada have lost a great deal of revenue during the unforeseen period of COVID-19 pandemic? Do you know that international students weren't able to attend the Spring (May) intake due to the impact of the novel COVID-19 and had to defer their admissions? FYI: "International students were named as key drivers in economic and demographic growth, which are important to Canada’s economic recovery and long-term success". The above facts corroborate that International students are key drivers and contributes over $22 billion annually to the country's economy through the payment of their tuition fees. The authenticity of this information can be verified via this link : CANADA IMMIGRATION PLAN FOR FUTURE AFTER CORONAVIRUS. I still maintain my stance on this particular topic of "AIP letter", as a smart trick employed by IRCC to lure applicants to pay tuition for her economic recovery. As always, it will end in praise. 4 Likes |

Frankrobbn1: Let him worship them. People have paid fees and are now getting rejections after AIP. Not everyone would get their full tuition refunded. Imagine $1k deducted tuition x 300k students who get refusal = $300M gotten from international students. Not to talk of those who paid full tuition & won’t get a dime because they didn’t apply for a refund within that specific time frame ?? 3 Likes |
