Good Health can never be under rated. Recently people have been complaining about my look and how lean I’ve been become. Recall that fews week ago I did a vehicle delivery for my friend in Abeokuta, when he saw he me, first thing he asked me was ‘guy shey you sick’? I had to cancel my plan of stopping at my moms place before coming back to Lagos. That woman will ground me grin

Two weeks ago that’s how I jam my mama for my sister’s place grin ....you know the rest.

Errm how far the babe matter, you don light am? grin

I used to be so chubby but I have become so lean that everyone complains when they see me. All i say is "its intentional". My mum saw me 3 weeks ago and was worried. I have decided to stop driving for now and rest for like a month.

I thought during the lock down, alot of drivers did not drive. They must have gotten enough rest.

I withdraw all my vehicles, for more than 3months. Everybody should go and rest and eat enough eba.

2months into withdrawing of vehicles, my drivers started calling, oga we want to drive.

Owners be warned, all this i lost weight, my waist they pain me, na exaggeration plus manipulation

You want to survive this country without putting enough effort. If aboki doing site work for 2000 naira a day, can convert that energy into uber, he will be more than happy.

Boss he's not a partner driver, and what he's saying is so right, driving drains mentally... I'm not saying one shouldn't work hard, but it's necessary to watch your health, especially with the kind of traffic we have lately. I only drove 4 days last week and still achieve sometin reasonable, I think that's enough for me. It's kind of crazy I may go 6 days dis week, these people keep enticing me with bonus, what can a man do? The bonus don't come everyday grin

If uber no pay anybody, come join this people 2k per day.

Sir, with some of your posts here, you have encouraged that there is hope in this hustle. I appreciate that.

But when it comes to some things like health and some other few things, can you have just little, maybe 0.1% empathy? 'Cos i see none in every of your comments.
Well i didn't say you don't have that for your drivers. Don't get it wrong.

I like your approach to business though, you're good.

Actually the worse part of the road is from mile to till after lasu (igboelerin express side), from the onward is still manageable. IF YOU CAN PLEASE AVOID PASSING THROUGH MILE 2- IGBO ELERIN. (Egbeda to first gate and to igbo elerin is a good option). An incase u have to (take the normal mile2 - lasu road :lagos -badagry, on norms), make sure u dont have much load in your car and tires are good.!!!

Is not easy for everybody, managing your cars alone can be very hectic.

Sometimes i get super tired and frustrated doing it. I spent last week in court, if fixing comes up, i do it myself.

Any repairs i drive straight to ladipo get the parts come back and fix it. For the past 3 weeks i drove with uber to understand what the current market is.

B4 i start transport business, i traveled to America to work my ass off, i couldn't spend up to 2months, i run back to Nigeria, they will give you hip of plate to wash, you go wash tire.

Is better i put in enough efforts now that am young, is it when i am old i will start working hard? If i can't workhard to give my children the best, and plan my retirement when will i?

Now to investors out there or to anyone.... Look for passive income or something that brings you daily cash ..cash is king... transportation is 1 of those business, but dont put all your eggs in 1 basket .. Spread your risk around......

Without fully going into details, the information I give here is free, most business man will not give such .. When it comes to uber business , my advice for investors is buy not more than 5cars .. Make sure it is Civic 03 to 05 .. Look for a mechanic that specialize on Honda cars .. And take your time hiring drivers.. There are more bad drivers than good ones ...but out of 100 bad drivers at least you should be able to find at least 10 good and dedicated ones , be hands on with the business and invest your money in other area ..

The fact is if one of my business is slow ,uber business comes in handy ....transportation business is not easy at all , if companies like God is Good, above all transport , etc can be in a much tougher business terrain for years , ,I don't see why you can't manage uber business with 3 or fewer cars

Thanks for these business nuggets and tuts of wisdom. We appreciate.

You made of mention of you NEVER venturing into hire purchase for your cars again. It came as a shock to me, as i would have thought that hire purchase is the perfect model for this business as it demands more commitment from the driver partner and absolves you of repair hassle, which is a big relief for me.

Could you be kind enough to highlight the advantages Rental has over Hire Purchase, from your wealth of experience?

Thanks bro

Any driver ready for HP?

If we negotiate the car, whatever we buy the car is what I will add on top.

You go inspect the car yourself, like it, then get ready to be a car owner within 1year.

I never did hp at all ..drivers have a hard time paying for the normal rental to begin with , so na Hp dey want pay ...too much stress from it ..not worth it for me .. Plus I take of my car to last longer than Hp agreement .so I don't see the need for hp.

I know it used to be 3 options one of which is "false order". I use this a lot when I cancel. However I have not used indriver for the past 4days now since I started using uber. So maybe its a feature they've removed.
