This is a welcome development. The Discos have been playing smart refusing to invest in infrastructures at the consumer end. The landlord of my area once approached me to contribute to buy transformer. I outrightly declined. How can IKDC (Ikeja Distribution Company) be giving me estimated bill of over 6k monthly for a two bedroom flat and yet expect me to buy transformer and cables. I also get less than 12 hours of electricity. The privatisation was a sham. I wish government could reverse it and reprivatise all the Discos

dre11:
• N4 for the poor’ — DisCos begin new service-based electricity tariff

• To penalise Discos, TCN for power rejection, under-supply

Provide the electricity first, Nigerians are willing to pay.

We can't continue paying for darkness.

Stop estimated billings.

Provide pre-paid meters to all households in Nigeria at subsidized rates.

Permit me to derail, a large percentage of us now see The guy with the moniker Reighteousness99 as a celebrity. We’ve forgotten the likes of Shibaraba, pocohantas, Nwamaikpe, donatan18... these people go beyond face value to evaluate things. Someone spams virtually all the thread propagating a gospel that says only Christians would make heaven, yet we glorify these person amidst the relics and fanaticism we’re already battling? It’s beats my imagination, to see a full graduate reason devoid of common sense. A host of us are suffering from the backfire effect, hence when we are confronted with common reasoning, we quote the Bible and all religious scriptures to justify our folly. It’s truly finished.
I long for the day the black man will give common sense a chance, only then can we create the society we want for ourselves

If you're angry with righteousness89, why don't you meet him for a fight? Has he ever forced you to read what he writes? Did he ever ask you to make him a celebrity?

You talk of common sense? Is common sense all we need? We need common sense and spirit sense to live a balanced life here on earth, and a secure home in the hereafter.

Anyone who supplies common sense will be celebrated. Anyone who supplies spirit sense will be celebrated. And also, anyone who supplies both will be celebrated. So now, start supplying one too, rather than picking up fights where there are none. And of course whichever one of the above you can supply, you will sure be celebrated.

It's simple... The more you use the more you pay... No power no payment I hope they go through with it tho.... It will let people learn how to use electricity wisely

This is what we were searching for in the news, as we have been advocating for a long time now.

We will pay for only what we use.
This is the same way it is done in saner climes.

A better Nigeria is all we want.
A better Nigeria is what we shall get.
Slow and steady we will get there.

Who's going to monitor that?

I try to grap ur point but it is jus anoda elusive mew. Whatever righteousness99 says is nt his word but what is written boldly in the bible.

Even if u remove religion, civilization might just be a milenium from africa. The people have modern look but the mentality is the same for many. And those few that tries to put forward a better opinion, are require by custom and tradition to shutup.

In my community, dumping waste or trash in open gutter or drainage is very ok. The illiterate do it openly while the learned do it at night. I chose not to be part of it, because i know what they are doing is wrong. Some of those even committing the said offense works for the govt. Yet this is the same people that keep saying "nigeria no good"

Still not clear how this will work though. Who determines the average number of hours i've had electricity per day in a month. And how does it work if I am on pre-paid where I am buying electricity before actually using it. What rate do I then pay?

I can understand it for post paid where it might be possible to determine availability for August, if I'm paying my August bill today Sept 1. But if I bought N10k pre paid on Aug 1 for the month of August, how is my rate determined.

Anyone who is sure how it works should please explain.

Regardless:
BEDC should be the worst DISCO in Nigeria. Very incompetent and sluggish. We have been bitterly managing the 8hrs of light they give us a day in a central location in Asaba. If FG really meant well for it's citizens, they should be penalising these DISCOS heavily. My transformer spoilt and it took them one whole week to come check it, then boom they drive off saying that the wire that burnt will come from their head office in Benin and not from their branch office in Asaba. It's been up to a month now this foolish people aren't responding at all. After consistent calls to them, one CC agent called me asking me why I'm calling them consistently that they don't have our transformers as among their list of faulty ones. What nonsense I wish I can get that nonsense lady again to tell her word. Na only ladder dem sabi carry with their nonsense trucks. Their other customer care agents keep apologizing and keep forwarding messages to their so called appropriate quarters.

I work from home and it hasn't been funny buying an inflated petrol every day because of some wicked and lax people.
God will surely punish every hand involved in the poor electricity distribution in Nigeria. Nonsense!!

Since the transformer spoilt, have they been bringing bills for you people to pay?

May God open your heart to understand the mystery of His Grace and Salvation through His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ.

May He give you a glimpse into the riches of the glory of His saints and the hope of eternal life.

Many of us who profess to know God are calling on Him in spirit and truth. We know God as a Spirit, commune with Him and see His powers manifest dairly in our lives and that of others.

I now you do not understand how it could be possible and that's ok. You cannot understand the things of His Spirit with human senses.

But there's hope because He has not left Himself without witness or evidence. And He's near to all who calls on Him from their heart.

If you truly want to know God, do this:
When you are about to retire at night tonight, keen and say that you really want to know God and ask God to make Himself available to you. That His servant, Emmanuel says He hears all who truly desired to know Him.

Do that and you will share your testimony. Congratulations in advance.

God bless you.
