An average FG knows how to solve Nigeria electricity problems but won't do it. Nigeria have more gas than oil which can give us stable electricity. Kazakhstan where I live have gas and that is what they use for electricity which has been for years even if rain or storm is dropping. Canaan land,Redemption camp,Banana island etc are using gas and the electricity is stable so why can't the government partner with this guys and the the needful. Since 1960 till date,we have only concentrated on Kainji Dam without any alternative which is bad in the 21st century. We have passed this level as a nation. God give us common sense 1 Like |

Nemere2020: Atiku is being a hypocrite. He said many times he would privatise the NNPC and has variously canvased for a more private sector led economy. If NNPC were privatised, wouldn't the petrol price be even higher than this? Or was he intending to privatise NNPC and still regulate the price. 2 Likes |

Any well meaning Nigerian should not complain about increase in tariff but availability of prepaid metre which will give room for justice between the providers of electricity and the users. The problem is not the tariff but the unused light that Nigerians are being made to pay for. Atiku should stop saying things that only make the mentally poor Nigerians happy. I can bet you that if metres are made available, many Nigerians will be paying less compare with what they used to pay when the so call low tariff was in place. |
