Word is Tobias could be made Second choice if all goes according to plan and he had a solid season in the Austria Bundesliga 2. Austria is Europe's #10 rated league. Doing well as a goalie in their second division is something. Rohr got in contact with him recently and with good reason too. And Slovakian League is indeed ranked way higher than Latvia. Yakubu's club may be lower compared to Ventspils according to the rankings you quote but it does not cancel the fact that the league quality and level of competition differs markedly. Afterall, take Besiktas for instance. They are bigger than some English Clubs by reputation and ranked even higher than some of them in the UEFA rankings but does it mean playing for them means getting a better or higher level of competition week in, week out compared to playing for a side like Southampton in the EPL?? This is not about just the clubs. It is about the week in, week our quality of the competition. Latvia is poor in quality compared to Slovakia, Israel and not to mention Austria. Alampasu has to just keep doing what he does and hopefully he gets a move away from Latvia. Remember he only just returned from an inactive state and has began doing decently in Latvia. He still hasn't done enough for now to earn another invite. He is doing okay at the level he is now but it is not enough for now as regards a NT return. That's the truth. forgiveness: 1 Like 1 Share |

my guy i like drogba just like kanu but if you expose his stats in full glare of the public e go worse pass oputa panel. one thing however you have to give Didier is that he's a clutch player especially for Chelsea when it mattered most he should up. against Barca, Bayern in the UCL against Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and co in the EPL andrewbaba44: 1 Like |

andrewbaba44: If Drogba had that kind of stat for elite clubs like Barca,Madrid,Bayern, Liverpool,Juve,Man Utd or AC Milan, trust me,it won't be much of a big deal. But he played for Chelsea. As at that time, Chelsea were still upcoming..they were still building their history and legacy... Drogba was one of those players that shaped them to what they are today..so his achievements there are very legendary.. He still remains one of Africa greatest ever.. but he isn't on the same level with Eto'o . 1 Like |

chrisooblog: elunico: Funny but true . We can't say it was because of racism because a lot of African players won the award.. We also can't say it was because he played for Chelsea, because a lot of Chelsea players won it too. So,maybe the conclusion is that he wasn't good enough to win it 1 Like |

andrewbaba44: Only deluded Chelsea fans won't accept that they are a small club.. When we talk about elite clubs in Europe, we talk about clubs that have built a strong legacy for several decades and have dominated European competitions and their national league coupled with the fact that they have produced some of the world's best players.. Chelsea doesn't belong to that category... I dare say, even Ajax are closer to that category than Chelsea.. But no wahala, they have a lot of money .. They can buy their spot in the category 2 Likes 1 Share |
