Early dis month I posted some pictures of my puppy in a very critical state.. due to incompetence of a quack vet .. my pup had abscess due to wrong injecting .. This abscess grew big at d back and extended to the ribs.. my puppy couldn't eat nor move for days.. but all thanks to Dr seun.. A man I will call my Hero..A very nice person to the core.. To cut the whole story short.. In less than 3days after prescribing some Drugs.. I began to see drastic improvement and today to the glory of God.. my puppy is back on his feets.. Am here to advice my fellow pet lovers.. always ask questions B4 allowing a vet handle your pets.. 5 Likes |

As at on Sunday my boerboel was acting funny , as at that period , I decided to speak to Dr seun He ask me some few questions which was responded by me then he prescribed some drugs, on Tuesday morning I had to call again to inform him about the progress and what I felt was wrong from some of the new symptoms my dog showed, he asked for the steps taken when I noticed all this, which I responded then he recommend additional drug which finally stopped my dog vomiting issue bcoz he was already weak, I was already planning to Take him to the clinic for parvo test as suggested by Dr seun if no improvement that day becoz the symptoms ar closely related to parvo ie diarrhea, inappetence, lethargy, fever. On that same Tuesday afternoon/evening my dog started responding to treatment, by next day my dog was able to gather little energy after hand feeding him and he eat with out vomiting for the very first time since on Sunday morning To cut story short, on Thursday my dog was fully ok bcoz he was already barking and charging @ one of our guest, his urine was normal unlike before that it was dark yellow, appetite was back to normal. I just want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to Dr seun bcoz if not for him and God I don't what could have happened to my dog. 3 Likes |

please I got this deworming medecine today and I would like to know if it's safe for my dog to use.
|
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 7:54pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
harmargedon:Its okay, its main constituent is albendazole which is a very effective antihelminth. PLEASE TAKE NOTE, Do not crush or dissolve in water while administering. Let your dog swallow it intact as a bolus. |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by harmargedon: 8:23pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
seunH:She finds it difficult swallowing medecine, unless she chews it. it's really big, how do I make her swallow it. |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 9:03pm On Sep 05, 2020 |
harmargedon:You can break it into 2-4 pieces, please don't crush into tiny pieces or powder, nor dissolve in water. It was discovered that many antihelminth failure was due to maladministration. |

Hello, please I want to start a dog business. I don't know how to go about it.
And this is my first time of owning a dog.
please help me |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 2:47am On Sep 08, 2020 |
Besthopebamdell:You are welcome sir. There are many factors to consider when deciding to own a dog or going into dog business, I will try and highlight the most important ones and they include the following; 1) Reason why you want to own a dog (which in your case is for dog business) 2) Financial capabilities of the owner - Rearing dogs can be very financially tasking (good food, vaccinations, drugs, veterinary services etc), so you have to be prepared 3) Time - Your day to day schedule must give you enough time to have for your dog so as to detect any abnormal behavior/ condition early enough 4) Patience - You have to be very patient especially if you want to be a dog breeder, you must never be in a haste for anything at all. For instance, you must allow your dog mature before using her to mate 5) Never patronize quacks - No matter how cheap quacks may be, patronize only registered and qualified veterinarians and never hesitate to consult your vet if you detect any slight abnormality, do not wait until it is too late, furthermore never leave anything to chance. In conclusion, dog breeding business is a very lucrative business only if you can be patient and do the right thing at the right time as stated above. #You can reach out to me any time for further questions and clarification. I hope this helps!!! 1 Like |

Hi. I just adopted a nice dog but it's infected with tick. How do I go about the treatment, what sort of tick spray can I get ? |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 4:26pm On Sep 08, 2020 |
Besthopebamdell:DM your number to me, I'll respond with my number. |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 4:30pm On Sep 08, 2020 |
JAccksnow:Hi, since you just adopted it, I will advice you fight it both internally and externally. Internally with Ivermectin while externally with acaricidal bath e.g Lime sulphur, amitraz or cypermethrin. For preventive measures you can get (Fipronil® spray) 2 Likes 1 Share |

What's the best anti infection drugs yo use on my dog to avoid miscarriage when mated on next heat |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 8:58pm On Sep 10, 2020 |
Jackonsy:It is not advisable to give anti infection or antibiotics to a pregnant dog. In fact it was recently discovered that Tetracycline (a popular antibiotics) can cause miscarriage in pregnant animals. So in order to avoid miscarriage, I'll recommend the following drugs; 1) Folic Acid- This is to ensure the fetus (baby in the womb) develops properly 2) Iron supplement eg Ferrox etc- This is to ensure increased formation and production of blood that will be sufficient for both the mother and the fetus. 3) Nutritious food and rest- Food rich in calorie, protein and vitamins are essential for proper general development and wellbeing. If you are financially buoyant enough you could by general multivitamins supplements too, but usually a good nutrition would suffice. I hope this helps |

Sir what i meant was, my dog had miscarriage and my vet said it was due to infection in the dog, so my question is which antibiotics for infection should i administer to her to avoid repeating the same miscarriage sire She is 7yeard old Boerboel |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 7:40am On Sep 11, 2020 |
Jackonsy:I now understand, the infection your dog had is probably due to the stud you used, the stud was probably infected. What I'll advice is that you should ensure the stud you use is disease free, if not sure, get another stud, then to be on the safe side, administer amoxicillin 1 tab twice a day to your dog before and immediately after mating to fight off any infection just in case. 1 Like |

seunH: Thanks boss After mating or before Mating |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 5:03pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
Jackonsy:From my personal viewpoint as a veterinarian, I'll advice you administer the first dose before mating, then continue the remaining dose afterwards. The rationale behind it, is that when you administer before mating, the drug would have flooded your dog's system and as the infection is entering your dog via the stud (if infected), it would get destroyed immediately before it builds up and start multiplying. It should be noted that other vets may differ with their own rationale. |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 8:40pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
wEsOmE:I'm so sorry for the late response, in order to avoid misdiagnosis, can you please tell me other symptoms you are observing so that I can get a clearer picture of what is going on. Although from what I'm seeing, I can observe dermatitis which could be due to ectoparasites or allergy hence was wondering why the "vet guy" said its was going to go on its own, perhaps he is seeing what I ain't seeing !!! All the same I await your reply. |

seunH: How can i eridicate brucella spp I read over it online it said that late pregnancy miscarriage is caused by brucella spp So how can i fight it |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 9:23pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
Jackonsy:I hope its not Brucellosis because it is difficult to eradicate once contracted and most of the drugs used to treat it are contraindicated in pregnant dogs example tetracycline etc. That was why I prescribed amoxicillin to you since its a very effective broad spectrum antibiotics especially in reproductive tract infection and most importantly safe for pregnant dogs. But if you suspect Brucellosis, then we may try enrofloxacin in replacement since its effective against Brucellosis and hopefully compatible with pregnancy. I hope this helps 1 Like |

hello doc please what can i use on my t to stop tick, the dog has so much it , i am becoming to see it around the house. the dog does not sleep in her cage so i wonder where the ticks came from . i am so scared cos my children ar so fond of the dog, they carry the dog always. is the injection an effective way ? i need this out of the pet body as soon as possible. i read about simparica. is it effective and better than the inj ? i kindly assist please. i would also appreciate your watsap no |
Re: Talk To A Veterinarian by seunH: 11:38pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
funmike83:I'm so sorry about your pet's condition, ticks can come from anywhere even within cracks on the wall and its important you keep your dog away from your children for now. The ivermectin injection is the most effective way because it will destroy the parasite from within while at the same time, you will bath your dog weekly with acaricidal baths like amitraz, cypermethrin, lime sulphur etc in order to destroy the parasite externally. Then it is important you keep your environment clean and spray with fipronil® spray as a preventive measure. Ivermectin is the best because it is effective against all ectoparasites regardless of the specie and its also cheap. In conclusion if you do the above plus good personal and environmental hygiene, God willing there won't be recurrence. Follow me, so that I can DM my WhatsApp contact to you. I hope this helps |
