Pls lets get right informations out. The companies they talked about here have nothing to do with speculation of dollars. It's clearly stated that thier account were frozen because of tax issues.

We all know you need cheap dollars and for you to get that you need people holding on to it to sell. More reason you are creating the fear factor.

Which ever way. We all going to survive. Mind you am a commodity exporter. So I feel it if it's cheap or expensive

when the russsian state wanted to deal with yucos oil cooperation what did putin do?....create phantom tax liabilities and seize the damn thing ....is not duty of cbn to collects tax it FIRS .....my company accounts was also put on lien by FIRS after warning letters untill i paid all education tax ...

What if he has the funds in his account and didn't source it from CBN

Chief Kensington Adebutu ( Baba Ijebu) has over 50 years experience in the money making business and he is well diversified with dollars income generating real estate Investments.

This is someone who donated N250 million to his Church, Methodist Church more than 12 years ago to commemorate his 70th birthday.

Information will become clearer this week, on why CBN took that action

Just 5% of the properties in Nigeria have certificates of occupancy, therefore most properties are not acceptable by financial institutions as collateral

Same old sad and heartbreaking problem of the near-impossible leveragability of land due to our policymakers' incompetence.

Great comments guys. I’ve been on this thread, though not consistently, since 2018. I learnt to bid for TBills from here. Rates for TBills are now unattractive, so any kind soul, please suggest to me an investment channel ?

If you want Gurranteed capital and interest, my suggestion remains VGIF managed by investment one. Guaranteed rate is 7.5%

What can we do to enhance liquidity and unlock other economic potentials in that sector

Cbn is doing everything to reduce demand of dollar why some folks here are doing their best to cause others to sell in panic.
My advice if you are saving your money in dollar for the long term do not panic sell, if not, follow the trends. CBN will soon hit a brick wall and realize their policies can’t stop naira from staying at it’s true value, unless crude oil revenue improves!
Like someone said earlier, free market will always win. CBN should get ready to involve the military to keep defending the naira. Clowns

Easier said than done. Just look at what is happening in the aviation industry. This sector holds a lot of promise but the government's policies keep pinning it Down.

If you say so. I no get time for arguments.

Some are subsided by their countries, because it plays a major role in the tourism industry.

Some of the owners subsidised the business from their returns from other businesses like real estate, hotel chains, casino, entertainment, manufacturing etc.

The few big ones have a cyclical profitability.

Albarka Airline, ADC Airlines and Medview Airline have been listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange in the past, but none of them was profitable

Hey, no easy way out of this so you know. You need to put your time to work and invest in yourself. No office work will give you a head up in Nigeria since you’re a dropout. I was in your situation 10 yrs ago and I made it today, because I opted to work for myself instead of another.

I advice you should sell one of the assets and start a biz. Become an entrepreneur by that you’ll feed everyone, fund their sch fees and finish the other building as well.

Don’t collect loan from any bank neither should you use the money to reinvest on another property.

I don’t care if you’re a lady or not, biz is for everyone. My time in computer village ladies like you made millions weekly so you know. Entrepreneurship is not bad

Thanks! But I don't have any experience or cash to start a business
