Seeing these people in this picture, one would convincingly conclude that Nigerians are the problems of Nigeria, not the government.

These are South East women. They knew that they were coming to commission a “renovated” Airport for usage. Yet they could sit down in that place ceremoniously and happily expecting the minister and dignitaries coming to commissioned an unfinished assignment.

If the historical Aba Women of the Igbo origin were like this, they wouldn’t be in the good part of our history.

The FG will tell you there is no fund to finish the airport on time....but they always have fund to complete Abuja-Kaduna rail system, Lagos-Ibadan rail system, Kaduna and Kano airports. The Igbos are in this mess because their leaders are weak. This is why there is no mega Federal government project in the whole of SE. Only senator Abaribe can look others in the eye and tell them that the Igbos deserve good things like other people.

Later now some people without any sense of fairness and justice will be wondering why Ndigbo are angry and making claims of being treated unfairly!

I knew and said it in 2015 before Buhari 'won' the 2015 elections, that if he won, Ndigbo should kiss goodbye to the steady but noticeable progress being made at AIIA, Enugu to make it int'l and bring it up to par with other int'l airports in the country! I knew even then that Buhari is a wicked, vindictive and nasty bigot that doesn't like Igbos (to put it mildly), and i knew he and his ilk (Sirika, etc) were not happy with what GEJ and Senator Odua were doing to upgrade operations at the airport....their actions weren't in keeping with the script written in the late 60s that said Igbos should be held down and shouldn't get the same opportunities and attention given to the core muslim northerners and the Yoruba!

One of their main objectives on taking over in 2015 was to see how they could downgrade operations at AIIA, Enugu on the one hand; while on the other hand, see how they could give their own darling Kano airport an edge over the Enugu airport, while also sneakily upgrading the one in Kaduna! They basically wanted to kill Enugu airport, so them shutting it down for more than a year without much significant improvements being done doesn't come as a surprise! Even the runway they shut the airport down for is yet to get the night-landing facilities and other infrastructure that can give it the right categorisation to accept int'l airlines like BA, etc! These were what Sirka said would be installed when they announced its closure more than a year ago!

A big part of our problem (besides these people that hate us and see us a second-class Nigerians) are our useless, greedy and self-serving 'one Nigeria' loving political and Chieftaincy elite! Moreso the ones in APC!
