Lobatan!!!

You may have to use employment letters as your only evidence and payslips or salary statements. Write LOE too.

I’m not sure, maybe seniors can chip in...ask @mamaroon
I am in this situation as well.

My former colleagues no longer work for the company and the company is not really functional. Plus it was a one man business.

Do you think a former colleague (who no longer works there) can write a reference letter for me and attach their previous work ID card?

I only have resignation letter and bank statement to show that I actually worked there.

In this case, what's the best way to handle this?

mamaroon, ednut and other seniors, please share your thoughts.

Prettiepearlz:

CIPM will boost it but that is a long wait. You have the options of CIMA, BCS, ACCA F1 to F3, CIIN to pick from to give you two or more certificates.
Hello Prettiepearlz, my girlfriend wants to enrol for the ACCA exam, she is a chartered accountant. According to her this exempts her from foundation courses of ACCA (F1-F4), i am pretty much confused about what courses she should enrol for to qualify her for an additional certificate. As much as she wants it for the whole immigration process she also wants to be ACCA certified.

Just some posts above yours and on the same page with the post you quoted, the @Mamaroon you mentioned just spent ample time to elaborately explain what's required by IRCC when it comes to reference letters..

3 courses, heard exam fee is 7500 per course. I left a screenshot of the fees I think two days ago. Check it pls and also use the contact if you have more questions.
Ps: I’m also trying to write the exam so I won’t have much infos for you cause this is the little I know of.

Thank you. I was not sure how to estimate the comprehensive fee (which includes building fee, library fee, registration fee and other mandatory fees). I estimate 55k excluding the cost of study materials.

I saw your question about the study center/preparatory classes. Some states have official study centers, for others, it is unofficial. You can call the number for your exam center to find out what arrangement they have in place.

Hi everyone, please I need a quick advice. I stated in my LOE for my POF that I have a small business aside my job although my POF was not raised from it. I just had to state it due to the influx of the deposit from customers. I was adviced to add it to my personal history but I have been finding it difficult to add due to the options available. The only option that seem ok is employment and it requires employer name or company and even Position.

Please your advice will be highly appreciated

She can decide to waive her exemption and attempt the courses. (F1-F4).
A better alternative is for her to get the exemptions and attempt F5-F9. Then she can evaluate the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business.

While the second option means more money and more papers to write, it will advance her closer to completing the ACCA exams (if she desires).

If she's a chartered accountant, this means she's only going to write the professional papers
She can waive her exemption from F1-3, write the papers (anytime as its computer based), use it for WES evaluation, then just claim exemption from F4-9 and continue her ACCA journey.
Writing the 4 professional papers is a longer route to getting an additional certificate (4 exam sessions per year), although she finishes her ACCA journey faster and a bit cheaper.

Hope this helps

Yeah, thanks a whole lot. This means we have to pay for each exemption, quite a lot grin

Mamaroon:

You have said it all senior Dimple.

1.Gold Standard- ref letter in IRCC format signed by HR or supervisor on letter head

2.Next Best Thing - ref letter on plain paper signed by supervisor or colleague with business card/ID

Adding goals, appraisals, promotion letter, pay slips with LOE in the absence of 1 and 2 above is a gamble, #personalopinion. I also don't think affidavits are permitted. Someone just showed us his GCMS notes with review required, he did not submit his ref letter.

You may also check this old post, the docs suggested may show you work in XYZ company but I'm not sure they show the duties performed:
https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/514#57264063

Go and look for any former owners, supervisors or colleagues would be my suggestion.

Thank you for your response. I will keep pushing and let the house know how it went.

Can't recall the options (you could share with us if you want) but in every case you definitely need to say the organisation name and your role. So just choose the option that seems most appropriate, then state the business name e.g. Irun hair care ltd and your role e.g. lead stylist/owner. No docs needed since it's just for personal history.

Edit: organisation is another option to employment

Please house, I have a quick question..
Will The passport photograph(50 x 70mm that you are required to submit while filling forms post ITA), be used as the photograph that will be on your Visa if granted? Or is it the passport photograph taken of you during Biometrics.

You'll still be required to submit another one at PPR

The bolded is what i would advice since you’re unable to reach anyone else and company is no longer functional. Hopefully others agree with me.

It’s very simple...State name of your company, under position you put owner/ceo.

Hi Fam, for those that have scored clb 9 or 10 in IELTS reading and listening. Do you consistently have that score why practicing? I have been preparing for the test and my score range is been between 35-37 for both modules. Although I occasionally fall short of clb 9 in listening i.e score 33 or 34 sometimes. Am I good to writing at this level? I am an accompanying spouse and clb 9 in all modules is my target.

From my experience, i think you are good to go with your practice score range. Just make sure you’re simulating strict exam conditions. For reading, try and finish everything in 45 mins so that you get used to the timing.

Yes you are. Ensure you check why you made mistakes. I usually do my listening at a much faster speed with little distractions...this helps... For the readomg, know your synonyms well and read the instructions carefully. best of luck!
