Arrewa: Show us here when the members of the IPOB killed Hausa settlers. Where and when did that happen? Post the news here. Which innocent people were killed in Rivers? Can you swear that you'll die of a motor accident if you're lying about the IPOB killing Hausa settlers? |

Arrewa: Interesting how quick you are to include IPOB in your post. Nigeria Police Force has denied they were involved. You are the kind of people who have issues with anything, then attribute it to IPOB. Can you condemn the sentencing of a Muslim man to death because of what he said? I guess, no. By the way, your post is hypocritical. 1 Like |

dokie: I will respond to you because I feel you are a Bible believer. Spiritual matters don't work like that. Moses married a foreigner, Aaron and Mariam the siblings of Moses heard from God too and they were also serving God, both Aaron and Mariam were also senior to Moses. So, based on physical assessment, it was okay for them to criticise and speak against moses. But No, God wouldn't take that! He asked them "... Were you not afraid to speak to my servant Moses so?.." King David was another man who understood divine order too.. He was anointed just as Saul was anointed, yet he recognised that God would still have him punished if he harmed Saul. So, you don't begin to condemn these people, whether you believe they are called by God or not. However, you can counsel people not to do or say certain things. For instance, don't call your neighbour "bastard, fool etc.". Cheers. |

Why are Nigerians so ignorant and full of hate for one another. Kadaria Ahmed is a Christian convert! This means she is no longer a Muslim. She reverted to her father's surname when she divorced her Yoruba husband. She has always criticised the killings happening all over the Northern part of Nigeria (especially Zamfara and Kaduna)!. |

edoairways:Judging from the law in both books, she is not an hypocris. if she has go against the inhuman law of the koran which she worship and probably may have preached sometimes, then she is an hypocrit of the koran, but human and forgiving. On a neutral ground she is an hypocrite, on religious ground she is not an hypocrite. |

@Righteousness89 in as much as i hold you in very high regards, what pastor David Ibiyeomie said/uttered from his calvity is totally wrong, he has codemed all of us who are working deligently for our daily pay/survival not only daddy freeze, be it who you may be, every professions are very important to all human survival/endeavours of our lives, be you a mechanic, bricklayer, carpenter, radionic, electrician, technician, technologist, pharmacist, medical doctor, lawyer, journalist, labourer, artizans, artist, nurses, so on and so forth, Pastors and Politicians are never proffessions, but they are there to serve the people and make straight the pact of our God and Lord by doing all that is right in the sight of God, but in this part of our world reverse is the case so let's thread with cautions to be mindful of our utterances and behaviors, pastor David ibiyeomie really needs to apologize for his very wrong sayings against all the less preveledge, every assumed less proffessions and races(half cast) that he has directly insulted. Righteousness89: I wish Nairaland has the Thumbs up emoji. This your comment is spot on. Most people react forgetting that pastors are normal people and are still prone to regular miscalculations that people make. It's even wiser to leave any of their mistakes for God to decide than even comment. .... my pastor has this cliche, "the matter is too high for you". matters about pastors and other men of God are too high for church members (Christians), not to now talk of unbelievers, choking mouth in matters that happens in Kingdom for which they are not part.... It is well 1 Like 1 Share |

Etfash: My Brother, you see the passages you quoted are all under the old covenant, but we are now in the new covenant. Let me remind you how the new covenant came to be " Christ became a curse in our place to redeem us from the curse e of the law". Gal 3: 13. The man who became a curse for all men will curse no one anymore. A man who rejects Christ is under a curse by his own making, he needs not to be cursed anymore. So his insulting a man of God cannot attract a greater curse than that which his rejection of Christ has brought upon him already. And he who is in Christ can not be cursed by anyone not to talk of Christ himself cursing his own disciple because he falters (in this case, insults a man of God). That is not to say that people should go about insulting Christian leaders, but anyone saying that insulting a christian leader would bring down the curse of God is not properly rooted in New Testament Theology. Read Matthew 10:25, and tell me what you deduce from it. Being insulted or criticized should be the least problem of a Christian. And it doesnt bother the Lord that He or His disciples are insulted. Consequently, he is not going to curse the "insulter". Christ himself was insulted from the beginning of his ministry until his death; He has been insulted by all generations since his death till this day, and will be insulted till the end of time, when he shall come in glory. What has been his response " Forgive them for they know not what they do". This is differential between Christianity and every other religion on earth. It is a lack of understanding in certain aspects of the New Testament theology that will make Pastor Ibieyome speak the way he did especially when he said "I curse the day he was born". Do you know the implication of that statement? It is outrightly condemning the man to eternal damnation. That is not Christian. The Christian is called to save souls and not to condemn. Let us rest this matter. |

muykem: Some of you espouse Islamaphobic propaganda as factual as well as blatant hypocrisy. Islam does not support terrorism, nor are all muslims terrorists; however, there are terrorists among Muslims e.g. Boko Haram (who kill other Muslims too) - just like you have terrorists among adherents of other faiths (depending on your definition of terrorism). Even though the Pope had condemn the linking of Islam with violence; unfortunately many of you Christians continue to spread this malicious propaganda unheeded. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2016/08/01/488223541/pope-francis-say-it-is-wrong-to-identify-islam-with-violence When it comes to killing in the name of religion some of you seem to have forgotten the crusades and your own Bible e.g.: Jesus said "bring those who do not believe me here and slay them b4 me"!(luke 19:27) Jesus preached "Death to the infidels!" (Deuteronomy 13.5,9) Jesus said to the masses, "Convert or die!" (John 15:6) Jesus was the taker of life (Judges 11.29, 39) Jesus disciples killed for the faith (Judges 15.16) These are just a few; not to mention many more examples from the Old Testament. @TOPIC: Why should she, when the two situations are not the same? She was right to criticise the pastor for refusing to live up to the teachings of his faith (i.e. turning the other cheek) whereas she cannot be expected to condemn Sharia law which is consistent with her own faith as a Muslim. |

2by40ft: I read somewhere that Kadaria converted to Christianity and was labelled an apostate worthy of death. That being so, drawing unnecessary attention to herself by antagonizing those who want her dead is not wisdom. No one can speak out against all the ills and bad things in the world. It would be a thankless and full time job for generations on end. As long as someone doesnt lie and speaks out against any bad issue, we shouldn't try to belittle what they say by saying there are other issues unmentioned. You too should speak out against those. Simple. |

Wiseandtrue:Good point. But do not wish death upon any man. For it is written, "love your enemies and bless those who curse you and pray for those who despitefully use you." LUKE 6 :28 You'll do well to receive Jesus into your life. Tomorrow may be too late. John 3 :16 |
