Where did you get this info from abt uber?
I still picked and dropped off on 2.0x surge on tuesday from southerview estate by conservation center to agric ikorodu.
She decided to update the trip back to southernview wen we got to ikorodu, still carrying the surge estimated fare.
Trip was showing 16k- 20k when she tried to update back before she begged for an offline back to lekki. And it has always been like that for the past 3 yrs i have been driving on uber.

I wonder where dey usually get all dis false info, on Uber I can say it, anything U carry on Surge either rider changed destination or You changed destination, d surge multiplier remains constant all through d Journey.

I once took a trip from Chevron drive on 1.7X to Ojota, from Ojota I changed destination to Marina, from Marina to VI,from VI back to Chevron, in all dese stops, I was d one changing d destination and wen got to Chevron, I calculated the distance covered and Time spent on trip manually, so as to Knw if am going to do fare review but lo ans behold UBer calculator was 120 naira higher Dan mine, so I ended trip @17,150 rider paid 17k and I move.

Like I said On Uber I have tried dis well we'll, but BOLT app I don't trust dem too much priority to Riders ( so best shot on BOlT allow d rider to update)

To and fro for 20k? For what??!!

The trip I did to Akure the other time was N20k drop off and i did it just because:

1) The man is a close friend
2) His wife I took down was just discharged from hospital after about 2/3 months so money has been spent
3) Most importantly, Benin from Akure is just about 2hrs and my attention has been needed for months due to d interstate lockdown.

So make you decision base on the information atvyiur disposal.

Bros had you not negotiated offline I'm very sure you would have cried Bros this kind tin don do me b4 like twice.

Its possible there was surge at Agric when she wanted to update the trip that's why but the update takes place in an area that has no surge believe you me the initial and final fare would have reduce to normal. And in these kind of trip you usually don't have proof to back up your claim because the receipt won't show the surge in it.

It has happened to me twice bros so I'm sure of what I'm saying base on those conditioning just stated. Can't say abiut your own experience.

But anyways, no wahala.

How would you call an experience someone had twice false? Always learn to pass your views, descriptions or opinions euphemistically when you're speaking or trying to make an impression or correction.

Surge in agric nkwa!
Felix felix, just accept this fact. I cant count the number of trips have taken on surge and after updating the destination, still carries the same surge.
I remember the day you complained abt the similar experience here but i was very lazy to type then to correct it.
Uber surge remains till the final destination even if you are updating in the ijebu ode dat has no surge

If you are Uber Partner or Driver in Lagos, kindly share your experience here:

- Considering the unpredictable traffic situation in some parts of Lagos, is it lucrative?
- How much on the average do you make weekly, working from morning till evening daily excluding weekends?
- What are the challenges specific to Lagos with being a partner or driver with Uber?
- Would you recommend a friend to be a partner with Uber.
- Any other useful info...

I need this survey/shared experience because I have thought of being a partner with Uber. I have a driver that is assigned to my family. My family's daily itinerary is fixed and this makes my driver and my car idle from 8am to 8pm daily. Registering the car and the driver with Uber has been considered to roll extra bucks into the family's purse and increase my driver's take-home as he will get commission from money made from Uber, apart from the salary he is being paid presently.

Your comments will be appreciated!

Not once not twice, change of destination wit surge and d multiplier effect is still same.

Logically, it's not ok for d multiplier effect to change, unless is anoda Uber App U re talking about

That place should be avoided forever. Like I said here before, anyone that goes beyond Abraham Adesanya roundabout or even Ajah is simply looking for trouble. That road is like a woman with bipolar, it can flip without warning.

grin Lwkm grin
Ones I leave that area in the morning, I don’t go back until I’m done for the day. Most times I link my house using Ogombo alternative route.

My last rider before I closed now, I dropped him off on the road by LBS and told him to cross over to the other side; his destination. Baba was protesting saying I should go make a uturn at road safety and face the traffic. I look am say be like you chop winch. Your destination on the App is Total/General paints, wetin join the other side with what I have on my App.
